In a recent article john berardi stated just have half of your post workout shake so in essence i guess he's talking about having whey and glucose... he's pretty knowledgable about his stuff so i'd take his advice
Gatorade is good DURING the workout with a little R-ALA...Before weight training I try not to surpass 20 g protein and after I'll get my shake...I normally drink a good amount of H2O before my workout
