Pre birth Stroke is the diagnosis with my daughter

I know little about strokes or epilepsy, so I read a little on it, apparently more than 60% of the kids with pediatric neurologist follow ups, don't have seizures.
I have had one seizure attack and yeah, and the causes are cryptogenic.. unknown.
Just by being present and there and caring, U are being solid.

I'm so sorry to hear, but comforted (for you and your wife) that the diagnosis is a good one.

I know it's hard for a husband to see his wife fall to pieces but just do what you are doing. Let her fall apart and tell her that it will be OK.... eventually, it WILL be. Then she will do the same for you when it is your time to come apart at the seams.... or maybe you won't. Maybe by the time "it's your turn" you won't feel the need.

OK... I'm rambling. I just feel for you both and struggle to find something comforting and uplifting to tell you.

I was joking guys

Well, the specialist claims she has seen many of these cases and she should be fine long term, just gonna take alot of therapy and such
They already ran the MRI
which shows uneven brain growth
but apparantly babies brains develop and also have elastic filling capabilities (something someone our age wouldn't)
So it's just gonna be a process of getting her to use her right arm and leg more and stop relying on her left.
I'm fairly optomistic

Well that's good to hear. Every parent's nightmare is having something wrong with their rugrat. It sounds like something that could really make all of you (except you, 'cause you're a fag) stronger in the long run.

obviously not great news but great to hear doctors are optimistic she'll be fine.
Kids are incredibly resilient and she will be fine.
Way to be there for everyone and staying positive.

wifes got aunt flo coming and is a wreck
gonna just be there
take my punches and help out the best I can
She's really upset
Doctor is optomistic that she will be fine

I'm sorry to hear that, Bro.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My little bro had one of those. He carries one arm a little different than the other when he walks, but if no one told you, you wouldn't notice it.
With some love and some pt, she'll be good as new!

Well that's good to hear because I was thinking that I was going to have to kick your fat ass... and ask Need2 about my "fat-ass kicking abilities" - I am like the ninja of such!

I know how scary it is when something is wrong with your child (or how scary it is when there is NOTHING wrong but they are being given drugs that will undoubtedly affect HEALTHY development in a negative fashion). It's very good to hear that the doc is so optomistic. I know that your wife (and probably you) will still freak out, but as time passes you will see that everything will be OK. :)

Wow man.
Well atleast now you have a diagnosis and understand what is going on and also the Dr is optimistic, so that is a huge plus.
She should be fine over time, glad to hear that it is something that has the potential of being corrected!

Good luck.

Babies brains are extremely resilient. I'll bet you'll be shocked at how well she recovers.

very sorry bro...everything will be alright. i wish her and you're family the best.

Sorry to hear Ortiz... that is sad news, but stay positive and strong. You know your EF bro's are behind ya when ya need to vent it out man... You seem to be handling it way, way better than I would be.

Prayers to you family and your lil baby, modern and future medicine will allow her to have a perfectly healthy and normal life, that is my bet.

Sorry to hear it Bro but being there for your wife is incredibly important. One of my very good friends had a daughter born with issues and it really caused a lot of strain on the marriage. It's good they have a pretty bright prognosis.

Glad to hear it's something she can overcome. The hospitals and rehab clinics in Boston are the best.

Or you could train her to drive in NASCAR?

wow...sorry bro. but hopefully it'll be ok like the docs and you think.

i'm thinking if it was something more serious it would have been much more apparent already. i think she'll be fine

My brother had one back in the 7th grade or so, two different doctors tried telling him he was an epileptic and needed to be on meds for the rest of his life. lol@doctors and money grubbing pharmaceutical companies, he's never taken meds for it once and he's never had another.

Well if I understand what happened here.

What was not meant to be was not meant to be, so be it. Something wasn't right and this may be a better way to go.
