PR on Bench Press.

I hit 545x1 on bench yesterday. I completed the trifecta of 500lbs on squat, deadz, and bench. :)


Thats fucking powerful!! How much do you weigh now? Any equipment? Congrats on the PR!! On your way to 600 soon!! Keep it up!!

Awesome work brother!! Thats an incredible raw lift, especially at 195! Motivational shit!! Do you bench PL style or BB? Interested to see your training routine. Keep it up brother!!

Thank you WB, it means a lot coming from Iron Brothers like you. I try to incoperate both styles in my routine. My training routine is kind of unorthodox, however. I'd be glad to post it if you are all intrested.

No problem brother!! Would love to see it! Unorthodox has always worked for me! Ive never even witnessed anyone move that type of weight raw. Very impressive!! Keep the PR's coming!!
 
credit where it is due bro, the best I ever put up was the 405lb video I posted, and your bench was way out of that league
 
370 was my best before the injury. I may not be chasing 405 again for a while. If you got 200lbs out of a bench shirt, like many powerlifters, itd be freaky to see what youd lift. 745? Every try a bench shirt?Do you bench flat backed or PL style? Raw is really what counts for me, have never used a bench shirt properly, but it would be fuckin nice to press up 7 plus plates per side!!
 
good god. that's retardedly huge...i'd love to see a video of that. i remember you've got some monster tris on you. i'd have a hard time believing this lift at your bodyweight except i've seen your pics.

out of curiosity, how many reps can you hit with 315 and 405?

7 plates on anything would be a mind job, that would be pure insanity, I live for that type of lifting. I have never tried a shirt, I think I bench flat backed, but i'm not really sure. I'll make a thread with my routine in it, it's a bit complex, so it may take me awhile to get it typed up right.

The bench was in fact raw.
 
I can match 315 for 10 reps, but thats as far as that goes

I usually stick to dumbells for my reps, I blast the 150's for 2 sets of 10 and 9 on flat, and hit the 150's for a set of 10 and 6 on the incline.

Awesome brother!! I havent done dumbell presses for chest in a long time. I get much more soreness from the barbells it seems. Keep it up brother!!

I hit 315 for 16 the other day after workout... I am still a little shy of 500 tho...
