hey guys and gals!
iwe been bodybuilding for 3years until 6months ago i started training powerlifting style....first the 5x5 and know for the past 3months iwe been doing the west side style and im freaking hooked and my results wow im loving the west side:D
Anyways i want to know how does a powerlifting diet look like?what do you guys eat?dieting down is not a problem! i mean lots of protein carbs fat???ore do most of you not even care?(not talking bout the heavys...LOL) Thank you in advance!!!!

It depends. Are you trying to get down to a lower weight class? I've always had to diet to get into my class, the 148s, and have to lose from 4-10 pounds before each meet. As long as I start far enough in advance, I don't lose much if any strength at all. I'll cut my carbs (not completely cut them, just cut back), up the protein, and go moderate on the fat (good fats).

I carb rotate: Same amount of fat and protein every day, and I rotate the carbs based on whether it's a traning day or non-training day. I keep complex prior to training, simple immediately after, and fibrous throughout the day and the rest of the evening. I base my BMR on 10 x my LBM, which is 1600 cals a day.

This really depends on what you're going for. If your 6' tall and about 165lbs, i have a crazy-ass diet that put a shit load of weight on me. If I were you I would pick out a couple of the best powerlifters that are your height. Find out what they weigh, then figure that weight to be your goal weight. How tall are you?

Does that mean that since Mule1 is 6'4" 400+lb and I'm 6'5" that I need to be 400+lb as well? :lmao:

And I thought I was doing good almost breaking 300lb.
...chad...
