there is no easy answer to this, cuz many factors are different for many lifters. for example how often do you compete? if it's 3 or 4 times a year, you might cycle on and off, but if it's 5 or even 6 you will more than likely stay on year round.
imo the doses and different supplements should ramp up starting three months before the meet, and finish strong with the cycle the 3-4 weeks before the comp. a type of pyramid if you will
i'm 100% the boys at ws stay on year round, with low doses of test, and stack up the orals and tren towards contest time. you always want to base your 1rm off your equipped best, unless you lift raw of course
if you only cycle during contest prep for whatever reason, you will need to make sure your other natural vitamin supplementation, diet, and rest are in check along with your lifting routine. rest will be more important
