power rack reverse hypers

Ok, I started WS today, and I'm not sure if the way im doing the Reverse Hypers are good or not. I just have a big board going across the pins of a power rack, then i hang my upper body from it and right below me i have a band attached to a barbell and i just hook my feet threw it and throw it up like you normally would while doing reverse hypers, but I have no actually weight, just the resistance from the bands. Is this ok? I think thats all I wanted to ask, so ya ;) thanks !!!!!
 
yeah but i dont know if thats an effective groove for the bands. i always have them stretched though the rack, hooked on the opposite side of where my legs are

how do you guys increase the poundage on these in the rack?

it will have to do. Nothing will replace a real reverse hyperextension.
but it will help your lifting
 
I use a similar method but in a dip station. Not the same, but neither are my body curls that substitute for glute ham raises.
 
Ah, like the board should go from like my pelvis to my lower chest or so, and I should kinda let my upperback/head hang over to round my back? Another thing is that with the bands I have no choice but to explode up, and usually I just shoot right back down too, should I try to give it like a 2 sec negative or so?
 
make sure your lower back round over the edge of the board, you want to activate your erectors dynamicly
