powder help

Just got some powders and I was wondering if anyone knows a good site that helps with conversions and proper filtering...never home brewed before wanna make sure I don't screw up....found a couple decent sites but they only help with 5-10 gram procedures....I need the steps for something along the lines of 100g. (More specifically the filtering process...don't think a whattaman filter would be good for what I'm doing, probably take too long....saw a couple larger filters on a few supply sites but wasn't sure if anyone would reccomend using it.... any help would be great.... thanks guys...

Why can't you just multiply the conversions by 10?

yea just multiply the conversion measurnemnts by 10. As for the filtering you can still use syringe filters to do that much if you don't want to invest in a pump and use it with the stericup filters.

I thought about doin that but I wasnt sure if that would throw something off....I found a good conversion calculator but it seems like its telling me to use a lot of ba...for example, I wanna do 100 g of enanthate @ 250mg which should make 400 ml.....the converter says to use 20ml of ba but someone told me that seemed high...does that seem normal?....with regards to the filter, I just want to use the most efficient one that doesnt require me to sit and push the 400 ml of oil through the filter, that just sounds like it would take friggin forever lol...I'm interested in the vaccum pump but I don't have a clue as to how to use it correctly...don't wanna buy the wrong stuff either you know....thanks

that calculator you are using is set to 5% default BA, so yes 5% of 400ml will be 20ml of BA. It is a little high and I would recommend doing 3% BA which would put you at 12ml of BA.

As far as filtering all you have to do is buy an 500ml stericup filter unit and a pump that can be found on the net. Its not complicated to use.

oh and bb is .20 or .18 or .10

did you put in 2 for ba or .02?

did you figure it out yet?

If it may help you, and everyone else out there, I have a legit prescription for 200mg/ml Watson Test Cyp that I got at Walgreens and it's ratios printed right on the legit label are .9% BA and .20% BB.

Its a good a idea to use higher then the .9% BA because the watson test was made in a sterile facility where as homebrewers have a less sterile environment.

The only problem I'm having is deciding on whether to use cottonseed or sesame oil....researchsupply has filtered cotton seed and its a little cheaper...someone told me to go with sesame because it filters better but I've heard cottonseed is more cost efficient...anyone have any thoughts?

grape seed oil is the best choice because its the thinest. There is no need to buy the filtered oil, just go to your local grocery store and buy some grape seed oil. It will work just like the filtered stuff and costs way less.

I always stuck to 2/20 or 3/20 for the BA/BB anyway. And yes like the other guy said, don't waste your money buying "filtered" oil. Just goto grocery story and buy grapeseed oil in the salad dressing isle. Your gonna have to filter it yourself anyway when you make the product.

Just out of curiosity, when you say 2/20 3/20 you're referring to the percentage right? Really new to this home brewing stuff so im jut learning day by day...I just want to know so i know what to put in the powder calculator I have, thanks bud.

yea hes talking about percentages, you would enter it as .02/.20 and .03/.20 into the calc

fuck, I did not know that he can buy plain grape seed oil in the deal.
it is 100% safe

should I use certain percentage ratios for certain products or is it just a matter of preference? like should i use a 2/20 for prop and like a 3/20 for cyp etc? last question guys i promise lol...

Also, does anyone know a good method for making water based injectable winny. I have been researching for hours so i wouldn't have to keep bothering you guys but everything I've seen is for oil based. I noticed the one site i did find that had water based instructions, produced winny that was clear. I was thinking that it would look more milky like all the other winny ive ever used or seen....any suggestions on how i can achieve this, and what I would need to use to do it?

All water based winny ive seen was always milky. Oil was usually golden or yellowish. I have a recipe I really like that i altered myself but it uses some guaiacol so you'd need that for my recipe. Let me know bro....

yeah bro that would be awesome. I just know some of my bros at the gym would kinda be reluctant if I handed them some stuff that didnt look like something they were used to using for the last couple years you know lol...if you could give me that recipe Id really appreciate it.

Glad to hear it went well my man. Make sure to use a decent amount of BA b/c of the nonsterile conditions. I used to use 5/15 ratios of BA/BB in most of my brews. Never had an infection. Makes me wanna start cookin again! haha :Chef: :p

quick question guys. Got some Cyp powder and some test base powder in two days ago, and emailed my source to figure out which is which but he hasnt gotten back to me yet. First time ordering these specific products so im new to how they look or smell....I smelled both and one smells distinctively stronger than the other. With that being said, I wanted to know if my thought that the one that smells stronger is the cyp (it kind of smells like enanthate powder) and the one with the less evident smell might be the test base is correct. theyre both grainy and white so, like i said, its really hard to tell the dif. Im sure my guy will get back to me within the next 24 hrs. but im kinda pressed for time. Thought about a MP test but the two have nearly similar MP so it seems kinda pointless. any help would be great...thanks ahead of time...

cype smells half as bad as ethan and TNE has very little odor.
