Pouring concrete tomorrow

Hi.

The plumber is doing his rough-in and then the concrete pour will happen for my house...tomorrow.

Woo hoo. This is big progress.

Unfortunately, it takes a lumberyard a long time to fabricate trusses around here, and steel...yeah that takes a while too.

So there still may be snags.

But this is good. :)

Congrats maing

It has to be exciting:)

I have 2 slabs going in within the next couple weeks for pole barns. One has a complete office with plumbing. In fact I have a couple pissed off guys right now cause the perimeter boards on the back of 1 of the bldgs is 6" off the ground keeping level with the front and I told the builder I want that boarded in because rocks are going to be squirting threw it making it look like shit and eventually make a void between them and the concrete. So the gravel guy shows up early this am and they hadn't done this yet and I sent him on his way-and wouldnt even allow him to dump it.

And yes trusses take awhile. I ordered 11 30' trusses engineered and 21 50' trusses and take about 2 weeks to get. I decided since the office has a 20' ceiling to add an upstairs as an after thought--so 3 of the trusses are going in the trash can right off the bat.

Between those two projects and all the work im doing on the house + having a new home put in next door--ugh. I had to start keeping track of everything on the pc. Some days I spend more time talking toi people than anything else--like today I have to call the cable co, got a planning/zoning asswipe coming out, a lumber delivery, amd a late afternoon appt. with the engineer at the electric co trying to design a system for all this shit. Will be ripping powerlines down and moving meters and going underground. Also have to go see the septic tank guy this week.

It never ends. Most days my cell phone sounds like an inline to a service center.

take photos and make a scrapbook, they make for interesting viewing later on, particularly for kids

personally im not a huge fan of pouring concrete. i much prefer watching other people pour concrete ;)

Where are you that it takes that much time to get trusses made?
We just order them and have them delivered in a few days here.
