I agree Roy Jones Jr. is still the shiat . . . but they need to get some competition for him before he gets to old.

Come on guys Roy Jones has been dodging the dude from germany for 3 years now..Mike Tyson is a biatch..Evander Holyfeild proved that. Anyone who knows boxing would have to either pick Sugar shane or Felix. They both fight world class opp (Unlike Jones) and have great K.O. records and have never been beat. But Jones may be top 10 as for tyson he hasnt even been top 20 in a long while.

you're right, jones has been practically in hibernation. it's hard to really say how good he is now.

it was whitakar or (however you spell his name) but now it's jones.

greatest pound per pound fighter of all time is BRUCE LEE. i mean real fighting.

bruce lee would get the shit beat out of him by any decent boxer. naseem hamed would knock him out easily. barrera would beat the piss out of him. so would mayweather and many others.

Steel Beast, I am guessing that it is you under this name. If it was strictly boxing, maybe. But if it was for real fighting and no bullshit gloves and such; Bruce would knock out any of those fuckers faster than the speed of light.

im not steel beast. anyway lee was a 130 pounds pansy. he was an actor. he could never take a punch from a real fighter. name someone that he has beaten up. he would get easily beaten.

meanwhile back in the real world, he was involved in fights. one of them took place when some guy was hounding him to fight him, and bruce wanted no part of it. so he persisted and one day while bruce was in his backyard with his family in his cali home. this guy climbed over his backyard wall and demanded that he fight him. this pissed bruce off because he trespassed his property and invaded his privacy. bruce beat the guy up so bad that the ambulance took him to the hospital. this is one event and this is according some other famous actor who was there with bruce when it happened.

there are many accounts of his strength and his power all by legit people. there was even an article 7 years ago in flex magazine talking about some of it.

wow that is a very impressive and specific story about "some guy" that bruce lee beat up. wow. how impressive. he was a pansy. he only looked good in movies. he wouldnt stand a chance against a real boxer. they have to fight other real boxers not random pussies like "some guy" in lee's backyard.

that was was also a supposedly good martial artist. boxers can't fight for shit in real life. look at the ufc type competitions. there aren't any boxers there because they would get there faces kicked in.

apparently he was 170lbs i think :o

hes no way as good as people like to think (IMHO) but from what ive read, he incorporated a lot of boxing in his fighting as he realised what tactical fighters boxers really are and how dangerous they are, he also 'borrowed' much of their footwork i believe. in a real fight, he would priobably win as he'd probably be much better in moving, he may not use his legs as much but he'd be better kicking than most boxers, and his punches would be very hard too!

Question: Who would you be more scared to get into a ring with?...hhhmmmm.....

Lewis would cause more anxiety than Tyson, Mike has trouble with taller guys with great left jabs.
"..... is too predictable, he comes straight forward. He's tailor made for me, and he's going to get hurt." :fro:

Today...who really cares. There isn't a standout fighter anywhere anymore. Even though he was a heavyweight, Ali's fighting skills (and ability to take a pounding) coupled with his ability to totally fuck with his opponents' minds would put him up there.

I wouldn't put this guy way up on the list, but Hagler really is underrated in history. He kicked Sugar Ray's ass and was robbed. Had he been given the victory that he earned, he would be viewed a lot differently today. Just my $.02.

As for this question the two that have alwats had that scary look/persona would be Lewis and Tyson. Lewis looks pretty bad and Tyson is..well...fucking insane and should be in an institute. Lewis used to work out at my gym, but this was before I was there :(

dude, you're right about hagler-leonard. what a crime.

mahvelous mahvin is still a legend back in new england where i come from.

bearded clam, you seem well educated on boxing. what WAS your take on the trinidad-de la hoya bout?
