Potentially a problem with the Phone Company.

I have a thread or two about my overpriced collect call I received about a month ago from AT&T. Just a quick recap, They charged me $48 for 2 collect calls and I`m thinking that was a bit much. The first was 2 minutes for $17...

Well I finally decided I`m not paying the bill. I have Verizon for all my usage but AT&T billed THROUGH Verizon. After talking to both companies it seems Verizon pays AT&T and they (Verizon) collects from me. I have a 3 month "hold" on the AT&T bill untill the "dispute" is resolved. There really is no dispute because they said I simply had to pay it.

Now I`m thinking that I will not pay either bill Verizon AND AT&T. Sure they will probably cut me off, but that`s the way things go sometimes. Been nice knowing everybody while I was here. I have 5 phone nubers with Verizon, 2 home lines,2 Cell phones and DSL.

Can anything else be done here other than getting all my services cut off and going to another carrier? and NO I will not pay the whole $48 to AT&T.

AT&T goes bankrupt within the month.
The entire telecommunications industry suffers as a result.
Cell phones will be useless.
The internet will be no more.
The earth, as we know it, will just dry up, and explode.

By the time you pay disconnect fees, reconnect fees, installation, set up and start a new plan you will have much more headache than if you dont pay. Let this be a $50 lesson. dial down the center - tell your loved ones

Dude, That is a sheeps way of thinking. As I`ve told my wife many times before, If you are right, It does`nt matter who you are up against. Just do what you think you have to do. You are the only one that will be living with yourself in the end, Even if you`re against EVERY last person in the world AS LONG AS YOU BELIEVE you are right, Don`t worry about the consequences.

So I end up using smoke signals to communicate... No problem, I`ll live. At least I did`nt get pushed around.
 
Did an operator say Will you accept the charges to which you replied yes?

By the time they disconnect and do all that My unpaid bills will be a few hundred dollars. That should cover it. I`m sure to let them know that when I call them. I`m very truthful with them when I call. I say it`s too much to pay for a call and am NOT going to pay it. I will gladly pay the rest of my bill except for all of that one.

Now I`m going to tell them that I`m not paying anything untill we can come up with a solution or they cut off my service. It`s they`re choice. I`m not hiding anything from them.

Yes I did and that`s why I had to think about this for a while before acting on it.

My position is What charges? Maybe they should tell you "Do you accept a $17 bill for 2 minutes of talking?" Then I would have made my decision. What if they sent me a bill for $480 instead of $48? Would that make some of you say "oh that`s riduiculous"? What about $4800? wtf? To me the line is $48. You may have your own lines that are crossed.

I`m sure someone will come out and point out regularatory jargon on how much they`re allowed to charge or whatever... I think that`s where I may be in the wrong I guess.

The telephone company publishes there rates in accordance with the laws of your state. Contact your states public service commission to complain about this if you really want to get a rile out of Verizon. They have certain customer care standards they have to meet and having customers poo-poo on those to the state psc just makes a lot of people jump.

lol I think it`s the front squats I should be doing. My hams and calves are overpowering my quads. Plus my knee is all messed up, Not sure if you can see in the pic there.

I`m a man of few words. I say what I`m going to do and I do it. I DO agree with what you`re saying though, That works with big corps most of the time I guess.

As I was talking to AT&T billing support, I told them Verizon would "Hold it" for 3 months untill the "dispute" was settled. She she said"That`s it, The dispute is settled" "I`m telling you now, You have to pay the bill" lol

Well I have 3 months to think about it I guess. Like I said I told them I won`t be paying the bill untill they cut my 5 phone numbers or they resolve this issue. STRAIGHT UP. their decision.
 
I say dont pay it

my brother is with verizon and his bills usually alywas come over 300 dollars cause he has a cheap plan but the cell phone is his primary number and he travels alot

every fuckin time he calls them and complains even though he speaks horrible english and they take off up to 50%

I dont know how he does but he gets them everytime


infact I just called my cable company and got 1 month free internet cause I told them the dude who installed the interenet didnt actually hook it up to my pc so for 1 month i really didnt use the interenet

they took the bills off



they always fuck with you but you gotta retaliate
