I have a thread or two about my overpriced collect call I received about a month ago from AT&T. Just a quick recap, They charged me $48 for 2 collect calls and I`m thinking that was a bit much. The first was 2 minutes for $17...
Well I finally decided I`m not paying the bill. I have Verizon for all my usage but AT&T billed THROUGH Verizon. After talking to both companies it seems Verizon pays AT&T and they (Verizon) collects from me. I have a 3 month "hold" on the AT&T bill untill the "dispute" is resolved. There really is no dispute because they said I simply had to pay it.
Now I`m thinking that I will not pay either bill Verizon AND AT&T. Sure they will probably cut me off, but that`s the way things go sometimes. Been nice knowing everybody while I was here. I have 5 phone nubers with Verizon, 2 home lines,2 Cell phones and DSL.
Can anything else be done here other than getting all my services cut off and going to another carrier? and NO I will not pay the whole $48 to AT&T.
