Here what I am thinking to run after Slin.

20 white eggs (from carton, only proteins, no carbs no fat)

Juice, quantity will equal the need of ration IU versus carbs

20gr of creatine

5gr of glutamine

What ya think

looks good....throw in some glucose pills and you'll be set. i personally have a protien shake, carb bar, piece of fruit , and glucose pills right after my slin injection....then a low fat meal an hour later.

I don't like it.

Stick with powders for the post-workout meal for the best bioavail.

Save the egg whites for the 2 hour mark, they are a great choice then.

Use cream of wheat at the 2 hour mark for 0 fat carbs.

Use either maltodexterin or dextrose, not juice - bad choice of sugars.

You can buy a 100lb bag of malt or dex for cheap almost anywhere.

Creatine @ 10-15 is plenty.

Glutamine is useless when bulking.

My 2iu's.

Good advice there- if you're using log though you should eat your solid food meal at the 1 hour mark.

I'm going to have to disagree with you their EF_Lift Chief.

Log peaks @ 1.8-2 hour hence you should eat then. I've had no problems at all that way, plus if you are glucose loaded then, you will not have to worry about going hypo because its all downhill form there.

LOL

I always thought that you should take the solid food meal before the time it peaks so you have time to break it down into the macros- so that right as it peaks you have the necessary nutrients in your system? You're more experienced with this than me though so i could be wrong.

I thought the procedure was:
shot- shake immediately after

post shot 1-1.5 hour- solid food meal

peaks at 2 hours

I'd be worried if you waited too long after you post shot shake to have your solid meal.

Let me know what you think.

Actually you are right about it depending on what you eat - I usually mix a couple packs of cream of wheat into cold water with a scoop of maltodexterin. So for me the 2 hour mark works fine. Plus everyone has a different sensitivity, anywhere past 1.5 is super duper - Although I still think one hour is to soon especially when you consider the amount of carbs and that there are no lipids to slow digestion.

I found this when i searched for humalog:

Novolog also starts working faster than Humalog. Although no direct comparison of Novolog and Humalog has been reported, one researcy study found that in normal individuals, Novolog reaches peak activity at 52 minutes, compared to 145 minutes (2 hours and 25 minutes) for Regular insulin. Humalog peaks at about 75 minutes (Eur J Clin Pharmacol 1999 May;55(3):199-203). Both pumpers and injectors may note lower post-meal readings due to the faster onset of action.

Humalog and Novolog, on the other hand, begin working in about 10 minutes, peaks at one to one and a half hours and are gone in about three and a half to four hours.

Seems to be some discrepancy as to when exactly it peaks. Most sites say a bit after 1 hour- although others say between 1 and 2 hours.

I used the info from the R&D team at Eli Lilly. Plus I don't feel hypo until just after the mark I mentioned. Everyone reacts differently though, one hour just feels to soon for me. If it works for you, then you have no problems.
