post cardio?

Since I'll have more time this summer, I was thinking about doing my cardio in the morning and weights in the evening. I usually do weights, then cardio, then down my 60 g's of dextrose w/60 g's of protein. If I do cardio in the morning, what's best for pre and post cardio workout? Should I do another sugar shake after the cardio too? This thread will probably get moved, but I wanted to get some responses before it is moved to where it will never be seen again!

In the morning on empty stomach is best and most effective for fat loss however you can down a carb free protein shake before if you feel the need.

Post cardio is again a carb free protein shake, if in the evening....if in the morning I always hit the cardio, take my fat burners, have a shower then eat breakfast as normal.

So you're not trying to restore glucose levels like you are after lifting?

For me it depends on whether I'm trying to bulk or cut. If I'm bulking...I don't do cardio...but I do have a sugar/protein shake first thing in the am...and another post workout. If I'm cutting...I reduce to 40 g dextrose pwo, if at all...and all other carbs are good. If I am on a cyclic keto diet to get extra cut...then I never do a sugar shake on low carb days.

I usually lift and do cardio afterwards too. I was thinking about doing cardio AM and lifting PM so I was wondering if anyone has any science for pre and post cardio since I will be doing cardio by itself. I guess you could say I'm cutting, or rather trying to stay lean. I also hope to put on some good lean mass in July with tren and test.

Just down some protein and complex carbs ... i don't think you would need hi gi carbs after cardio, because why would you want an insulin spike after a cardio session?

You can do it on an empty stomach if you keep the levels moderate and go no more than 20-30 min. Like Satch said, burning muscle will become a concern at higher levels (anaerobic). If you want to do intense cardio, have oatmeal 45 min prior and then a whey shake afterwards. As far as PWO shakes, if I am cutting or bulking I always get malto/dextrose into the system asap afterwards along with 50g of whey.
