Post Cardio Questions

Immediately after your cardio, have a shake consisting of dextrose, maltodextrin and some hydrolysed protien (WPI is OK if you don't have the hydrolysed stuff). About 30-45 mins after the shake, have your normal breakfast.

No thats the worst idea as it will be stored as fat. Wait AT LEAST 30min before you consume anything.

Anyone can say what they please, but show me a physiology text or medical journal supoporting empty stomach carido....then we can talk.

Fuck articles why don't you look at what people do for comps. THe majority do it on an empty stomach in the morning. I will take a pro's advice over an article.

The main concern should be overall caloric intake. That's what truly determines whether or not one loses or gains weight.

Oh, and the link I posted can also be used for cardio as well. The point of posting it was to show that there's a good reason for pre-workout nutrition, but that doesn't limit it to weights. Cardio should be used as a way to increase nutrient partitioning, and as a way to burn extra calories. One is better off eating more and burning it off with cardio, rather than just eating less. This will help increase RMR and, among other things, give better gains in the end.

By the by, Jdevlin, stop spreading fallacies. This bullshit about having to do it on an empty stomach is ridiculous. Take in less calories than you burn and you'll lose fat, provided you're getting adequate protein.

No matter what board you go to, this is always the MAIN argument. Personally, I think people overthink the cardio on an empty stomach thing. The bottom line is instead of taking someone's word for it. You have to try it and find out what works for YOU. I favor cardio done on an empty stomach with 5-7 grams of both BCAA's & Glutamine Peptides before, but that's ME. Your body might differ....
