Possible injury??

I'm not sure whether I did something serious to myself or not, but my chest hurts. On my right side, in between my shoulder & my breast, the muscle there hurts & when I first wake up is stiff & very sore. When reaching my shoulder now pops & cracks, which it never did before. When I move my arm around a certain way, it "twinges." My traps don't hurt, nor do my delts or my back in any way.

I first noticed this after a bout with shrugs several weeks ago so I haven't done them. However I did them again last Sunday & now I'm still sore.

Has anyone else experienced this and is it just a muscle pull where I should just RICE it? I'm scared to do any weights cuz I don't want to tear anything.

Oh, and here's where it hurts, if that'll help:

Keep lifting just alter your routine, do light work for that area to help it heal faster. It sounds like a muscle pull, a tear usually has a bruising around the area, and you probably would have felt something when it happened. Also make sure you mantain muscle balance and include some rear delt/ trap/ upper back work lightly to even out the muscle tightness. If it persists see a SPORTS doctor. NOT a general MD. I did that once when I couldn't even move my arm and he told me it was probably just a muscle pull, did no MRI or real exam.
 
Sounds like a deep pull. If it were a tear, there would be some significant purple/reddish coloration around the pectoral to the bicep area.

Give it some rest.
 
Thanks guys! Yes, there is no bruising or discoloration in the area. It definitely feels muscular.

No more shrugs.
 
Oh & what can I do to make it better?? No lifting, some lifting with light weights, ice?? What???
