hey well i think i may have injured something. it started 2 weeks ago when i did cleans. its in my lowerback glue and hamstring on my right side. its a shooting pain when i stretch my to the left to far or stretch my leg out. its localized where my hamstring meets my glute and goes up to my lower back only on the oustide of my lower right. it gets agrivated by deadlifts and squats. but i was able to do all my strongman training, tire farmers sled and so on without pain. but i did warm up deads with 135 and it hurt. anyone have a clue what it may be becasue i am low on ideas.:(

hmm then should i go see a doctor and quit going to the gym for a while. i am reading up on it right now i have never heard of it before.

I'd guess sciatica too....
Basically you've probably subluxed one of your lower vertabre and its somewhat out of alignment or something... I've pinched my sciatic nerve before and I got a lot of tingling in my lower left leg, near my achilles(sp) tendon...

Go to a chiropractor and get that vertabre adjusted... might take a couple of visits.. but its well worth it... can't fix a pinched nerve with any pills!

sciatica...thats what im thinking. I pinched it once that sounds like the symptoms i had.

Its the second largest nerve in your body. It runs just about inbetween your spine and you hip. It then travels down the back of your leg finally splitting at your kneee.

I would stop working out now. Sometimes pinched nerves take up to a year to go away. A muslce could be pulled or pinched causing it to squeeze the nerve.

Just clear up..sciatica is actually a condition were you sciatic never flares up and causes pain. I hope you just pinched it..and you dont develop sciatica.

Do you have any bands that you can use for stretching?

thnaks alof of good help you guys have givin. do you have any recomendations on a good king of chiropractor.

clint yes i have bands what do you recomend i do with them.

bignate i tried that stretch i cant make it past my knee with either leg before i feel a stretech/pain is this a bad thing????

Take the bands, lay on your back. Put a band on the bottom of your right leg and raise it up high and hold it. Go to the left and the right then back to the middle. It should take 60-90 seconds to complete. Switch legs...and when you are done do both at the same time.

i have had this exact same pain......... i was told it was probably siatica and to go to chriopractor.......

but i never went. i have naturally tight hamstrings with poor flexibilty when i train heavy........ when i bodybuild, im so loose i can do the splits, but with heavy training, i tighten up like mad. so i just rest, do a ton of ab work, and stretch, it works very well.
