Possible clavicle deformation? Help plz

Lee

New member
Well I just noticed that the left side of my clavicle is about 1/4 inch higher than my right side, starting right at the center below my esophagus. I tried a google search to see if it is just a posture problem or a real deformation in my skeletal structure and couldnt find any info. Because of this, my left trap is quite a bit smaller, width and height wise, than my right.

I'm curious if anyone here has had or has this same problem. If so, any way to resolve it or am I just screwed?

It's pretty common for the body to not be symmetrical. If you left clavical is only a 1/4" higher it really shouldn't cause any problems. If you are worried about a possible displasia or dislocation then go see a doc.

Cheers,
Scotsman

Souldn't cause any concern unless you notice it hinders you. And if it hasn't yet you should be fine. Scotsman is right.
Also, almost everyone has a slight scoliosis too. If your gym has the checkered or grided wall, stand with your back against it and completely relax and have someone take a pic. You'll be suprised I bet by a half inch to and inch difference. I was when I found out.

Well it hasn't hindered me or caused any pain. Maybe I'll go to a chiro to check if it's fixable. If it isn't then no big deal. Thanks guys.
