I'm a fan of Optimum Nutrition Chocolate and All The Whey Unflavored. For convenience I always keep Vanilla Met-RX RTD 40's hanging around.

edit: I get 10lb bags of the ON for $49, All they whey 5lbs for $30 and 12 packs of the RTD's for $30

For me its all about taste, I have tried em all, I will probably get worked for this but IMO ON just doesnt taste all that good-

Muscle Milk is the best tasting by far but some don't want the xtra fat/carbs
I know many detest them but Biotest LoCarb Grow (esp chocolate) is worth the xtra $ for me. IMO the best tasting-

Interested in what others say, I am sure ON will be the consensus

True Muscle Milk's Strawberry and Banana are the best flavors going. Then if your looking for just protein I think ON strawberry is my favorite, then for casein it's Lean Desserts Protein Bannana Cream Pudding.

whatever is on sale and tastes good. Muscle milk is my favorite but really expensive. Protein factory is a great way to go. I just got 5 lbs. of chocolate whey for 15 bucks on sale.

I use Designer Whey Natural. Only been able to find it in a 2lb container for around $13. If I want flavor I can add whatever I like.

Bang for my buck is ON's Pro Complex Shakes and Bars...Da Best

Word..... ON chocolate has been good to be over the years, it's cheap and reliable. As for the bars, I go for Pure Protein, and get the Blueberry Cheesecake flavor. Actually quite tasty!

Wow you fucking read my mind... Thats exactly what i would have said...

btw why does everyone have such an aversion to fat and carbs? You need pre-workout carbs for energy and fat is essential... maybe thats just the football player in me as I burn in the ballpark of 3,500 calories per practice...

I use to play football and well I pretty much use to eat healthy but also got some fat and carbs in me while I was playing football because training is brutal and believe it or not if your are all muscle with size your looking for injury is good to have some fat on you, but since those days are gone I stick to ON I use vanilla which is easier to mix with everything, I use post work shake gatorade with two scopes of ON and works fine for me, I have been using ON for about 7 years already since high school stuff rocks

MUSCLE MILK has all too many grams of FAT, Carbs, Sugar for me......

The fat is good fat and the carbs are not bad at all. Just make sure your diet is in check. Best to take first thing in the morning or before bed.

Muscle Milk's secret formula is called EVOPRO, a blend of proteins that includes micellar alpha and beta caseins, whey concentrates, isolates, and purified bovine colostrum. Muscle Milk also contains no trans fats, and instead uses a LEANLIPIDS, a proprietary blend of oils that are thermogenic and have unique energy properties. The types of oils used in Muscle Milk are special enzyme engineered polyunsaturated long chain vegetable oils, mct's, and l-carnitine. Muscle Milk also contains a full vitamin and mineral complex, called Cytovite. When looking at the Muscle Milk nutritional panel, many people worry about the large fat content. However, the fats used in Muscle Milk are burned for energy and not stored in fat. MCT's as they are called are treated with special enzyme engineering to make these fats more functional, promoting anti-inflammatory effects and enhanced mineral retention. Recent studies reveal that calories with engineered lipids, taken before and during workouts, promote leanness, and these calories are used for workout energy, with less deposited as fat. Muscle Milk also helps grow muscle faster than gainers, whey powders or even creatine. This muscle growth is possible because Muscle Milk is the first product patterned after nature's ultimate anabolic food, human mother's milk. Cytosport Muscle Milk has zero lactose and is very low in sugar. If you have tried other proteins and are burnt out, give Cytosport Muscle Milk a try, it's available in 22 different flavors, as well as 20 packs, and ready to drinks.

Sounds convincing eh?

designer whey all day!...i bought a huge jug of it the other day for 3 BUCKS!! the same amount of myoplex was goin for like 40 bucks.....the shit was on sale, but even still, its always cheap as hell

I know, there are much better things in terms of clean protein but damn........its a babyruth with extra protein, cant beat that....at least in terms of taste, when your on the move. I agree with you though, i put on fat easy so im looking for a good meal replacement bar when i start school again, this one is just too much.

You should try Bonanza bars from Designer Proteins. Thats the only bar I would touch. No bar is as good as real food though...

I drink Pro Lab N Large Meal replacement shakes, but they have 50 grams protein in each drink...just high in calories or carbs for most. Chocolate
taste good though.

I'm on a break from protein shakes right now, I try'd every flavor there is (nitro tech) and they all have that protein shake after taste, I think i will gag if I drink another one!

Do you guys mix it with anything elce like otmeal?

Occasionally I will go the fruit-smoothie route, some frozen fruit, atkins milk, fat-free milk solids, liquid egg whites, and ice cubes. Blend that shit up, and it's great! Nice and cold, fruity and sweet, with whey, casein, and egg protein. NOt good for dieting though, too much sugars from the fruit and lactose. If you throw in a scoop of unflavored whey with it, it's decent for post-workout though.

hmm ... fruit smoothie, I might give it a try.

Some brands of protein powder use sucralose GRANULES instead of sucralose powder as a sweetener! WHY THE F***!?! I can't stand choking on those little grains of sucralose every time I drink a shake because of some moron at the company...

I have two shakes a day.......

2 Serv. ON Vanila
3/4 cup Oatmeal
1 Banana
1/2 cup fresh berries(What ever the store has)
1 Tbsp Flax

Umm Umm Good!

you guys wanna tell me where i can buy these special protiens at any websites?

I also use Optimum Nurtition chocolate, awesome tasting stuff for a great price. N-Large would be tied for taste and price OIMO, but that stuff will make ya fat if used excessively (trust me lol).

The Optimum Nutrition shakes --you can get the 5 lb. cans for twenty bucks from a store on Ebay....Usually there forty bucks.......I just ordered a couple of the chocolate......

THAT IS ONE HELL OF AN ASS in your AVATAR!!!!!!! WOW~boy would I like to get me some of that....

Anyways, bro, thats what shakes are for...if you dont have time to cook and you need the calories and protein....shakes are quick and will work.....If you were on the run all day for a day....its much better to poor down 6 shakes down your throat than to eat nothing........

ON is crap. I don't trust any company that will not give you a break down of their contents. Oh yeah, it says it has isolate, hydro and all this other good stuff in it. But if it did, it would be $11.99 at Vitamin World for a tub. They don't list the actual contents anywhere on the tub or label. Which tells me it is nothing more than crap milk iso and whey concen.

I found the best protein to be proteinfactory.com. I have never had any complaints about them. They are the ONLY ones I recommend. And trust me, I have tried every brand out there.

I've sworn by and will continue to support ON.....damn good stuff, but to each his own.
