Plifter---simply because you can't win on any of the issues you attack me personally.

Grow up. Stop the name calling. Stop your hate. Its past its time...........You have insulted many people on this board. There are many of us who have lost friends or family to AIDS..........Any comments you make about AIDS is an insult to the memory of those gone before us.....

I'm not into the whole "moral" thing, but someday Plifter.....it will all come back to you....EVERYTHING WE DO COMES BACK TO US IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.........

I hope you are never down or out, even though your beliefs are ignorant, uneducated, and scream of hostility...

You should really rethink the way you are living your life.......

Yeah, there is definately a line between discussing a topic with enthusiasm and simply spewing garbage out. Wishing someone a disease is pretty fucked up and I can see how that would bring out hate in someone as a response.

All involved parties should just agree to ignore each others' posts. IMO.

Uh, Milhouse, my last post about Ryan wasn't about AIDS. It's about Ryan being a hypocrite. I'm not the first person that's said that either.

If we really wanted to analyze everyone it wouldn't be hard to find that we all talk out of both sides of our mouths sometimes, hence we are all hypocrites one way or the other.
And no I don't hate you either, but I do think you get a little sensitive.

I thought this is an "elitefitness" discussion board, ya know, on bodybuilding and stuff... sure we all have lives outside that, too. But why even worry about this stuff on this board. There is always alt.politics for a nice, spirited flame war.

I would think that since this is the "chat and conversation" board, that would be the reason for discussing other things besides bodybuilding. YOu can discuss training, nutrition, AS, etc on the other forums.
 
True, and I didn't mean to say we couldn't discuss non-bodybuilding stuff here or even controversial issues. I just found the flaming of recent days be a bit uncalled for and out of place for a board of this type.

ok here is a few simple arguments...They are flawed but also something worth thinking about

The Argument from Design

1. Nature everywhere ehibits order
2. Order requires a designer
3. Therfore, There is a designer of nature
4. The Designer of Nature is God
5. Therefore, God exists

I choose to believe the Theory of Evolution could be suitable with the belief in God


Pascal's Wager

1. The Evidence and arguments for and against God's existence are an inadequate basis for even rational belief or logical belief.
2. Yet we are forced to choose--to bet our lives--either that God exists or that God doesn't exist.
3. Thus, we must choose on grounds other than the evidence and arguments.
4. If someon bets that God exists and God exists, then that person wins everlasting happiness in heaven.
5. If someone bets that God does not exist and GOd exists, then that person will suffer for eternity in hell.
6. If someone bets that God exists and God does not exist, then that person has lost nothing.
7. If someone bets that God does not exist and God does not exist, then that person has gained nothing
8. Thus, a person has nothing to gain and everything to lose by betting that God does not exists

Also if your interested in arguments for or against the belief in God try reading books about Thomas Aquinas, and Swinburne's Theodicy

None of this is a flawless argument just rather an argument for the existence of God
 
Sorry, collegeguy, but those arguments are pretty weak. there is no evidence one way or another. I always believed people created gods to explain what they don't understand. I mean the Greeks had many gods that were in control of various things. I mean Atlas was supposed to be holding up the World. Who believes that now?
I'm not trying to be a flamer or start an argument, I just don't believe.

By no means am I trying to tell you what to believe in, I was just curious about why you believe the way you do.
 
I'm not sure what actions God would take either way...Those are just arguments, I apoligize if they have upset anyone cause it wasn't intended to do so. As far as it being insurance to believe or not thats up to each person to determine themselves.
 
Next thing you know, there will be a movement to ban PLifter, then May, then anyone who goes against the norm on this board. We will see how interesting it is then.

Yellowbomber - what makes you think he makes more than I? This has to be a joke. If he made above minimum wage, he would not have to wait until he gets to work each day to use the computer there. He would have one at home. Just like today, he was apparently at work as he was trying to bump his own posts <sigh>..... Most well paying jobs I know of give you the weekend off.

Make more than me? I doubt it! You can look up my job description and compare, if only he didn't feel like he "shouldn't talk about his job...." Since there is no way he can be affiliated with the CIA, FBI or any kind of employment position that requires an IQ above room tempature, I can only say that it is an indication in itself.

Besides, people on here would tell you that I actually do not have to work at all. Employment for me is option, not an obligation.

Childishness - refering to an act. Jealousy, Pettiness, Envy, etc... Childishness is the unexpected action one exhibits that is opposite of mature adult behaviour.

Childishism - refering to the continuation of acting like a child and the self righetous belief that it is natural.

In your case, you can't be accused of childishNESS simply because you have NEVER acted like a mature adult, so therefore you have no contrasting opposite to be compared by. You simply have acted like a child on a daily basis with your insults, lies, and dodging the subject when you are caught on the losing end - which is always.

You hide behind the safety of a keyboard, spewing your little tirade against gays, AIDS victims and girls that are more masculine than you (which is the majority). You sit in the safety of your mother's shadow and falsly accuse a fellow board member of raping children and offer encouragement for him to be murdered. You suggest that other members are here on the board for the sole purpose of exchanging child porn. But you know something? Each one of these fags, and these "AIDS" victims, and these pedophiles and child porno viewers that you attack, would wipe the ground with your sorry ass if you tried this shit one on one.
