Since everyone has been shooting flames up everyones ass lately over source postings I think someone should come up with a solution. Why not add a label or feature in the message composition area that would remind people not too post sources or ask about them. A watermark that covers the area i'm currently writing on or how about a blinking warning message, I DON'T KNOW BUT I'M TIRED OF SEEING POSTINGS ASKING FOR SAUCE AND I KNOW YOU GUYS GET TIRED OF FLAMING THE GUYS THAT ARE ASKING.ANYWAYS JUST MY TWO CENTS.

Actually some people don't even read anything. They just post right away hoping someone will respond. These are usually newbie's that don't know what's going on. Oh well...a lot of us have been there and learned.

What you should do is immediatly delete the post and ban anyone who posts source info. If they were a newbie and made an honest mistake, you can bet that they will mail the mods or admin asking "why did I get banned?". You could then send a e-mail (pre-formatted to save time) stating why they were banned and explicitly outline the purpose for the banning and rules pertaining to source mentions/inferrals...ect. Reinstate their web-surfing abilities, and if they screw up again, ban them for life, period! So some people will whine and bitch, but whats worse, the whiners, or losing sources?

I realize that only the Admin has ban capabilities, but maybe you guys could work something out....

All this ":enter company here: isn't a source because :enter lame ass excuse here:" is bullshit. Sources are a valuable commodity and domestic or not, they need protection. EF is the biggest board out there, and they need to lead the way. AF, and Meso already do a pretty damn good job. Once people start realizing the severe consequences of source posts (as recent acticities should!), hopefully boards like 'bolex and UG will follow.
