Ok, basic cliff notes: the equations to calculate your Karma Power have changed as also have the number of K hits you can make in a day and the number of hits you need to make before hitting the same person again. Basic effect is that most Plats have more K Power and most non-plats have a lot less. Most people seem unhappy with the change but then what's new?

What else? Klu isn't getting any sex until Hammy works out the new system.

These equations seem to fit if you're into that sort of thing. There are the extra niceties as to what minimum posts and K hits you need before you get even 1 point of K Power.

Plats:
1 Power for every 2000 hits
1 Power for every month
1 Power for every 500 posts
1 Power for every anniversary

Non-plats:
1 Power for every 4000 hits
1 Power for every 3 months
1 Power for every 1000 posts
Nothing for anniversaries

Oh, yes, one other effect is that there's little point hitting non-plats unless it's to say thanks or offer encouragement for great posts because it'll probably be weeks before they hit you back.

Thanks for the continued attempts to make non-plats irrelevant. I HAVE supported this site in the past with purchasing platinum. Sadly, taking things away from members like myself and Mr. db and many others who have been here for a long time and contributed much to the site is not going to make us go plat. The exact opposite in fact.
