Ok anyway, my new programme is to get the muscle fatigued or something.

So i always do 20 reps when i start then 10 straight after. the first 20 are about half the weight of the last 10. Sound normal so far??

anyway the problem is, that almost everytime i complete this programme, i suffer minor pain the next day. It hurts a bit when i lift my arm or stretch my legs. But the day after it is usually okay. I'm 16 years old. Is this ok?? or shouldnt i be feeling this pain

It depends on what you mean by pain. If it's muscle soreness then it;s a good thing, it means you've actually done something. If it is actual pain then it's a bad thing.

What are your goals with thes workout you are on? What's the reason for doing 20 and then 10?

my programme is to get the muscle fatigued. WHats the difference between muscle soreness and pain?? like i only get pain if i move my arm up and down or streth my leg or one of my muscles.

If you are 'hurting' on one in every three days repeatedly, as you seem to be saying, then obviously you are not causing serious harm, otherwise after a few weeks you'd be hurting at least two days of three if not every day. I know I'm sore more than I am not, and I 'only' train 3 days a week. You are probably safe to carry on, just be carful not to increase the weight too quickly. - Which probably leads to other questions...
Go and read a couple of good books, like "Tom PLatz: Pro-style BBing" or "Bill Pearl: Keys to the Inner Universe". Flip through MD and FLEX at your local gym, talk to the huge guys who look like they know what they are doing. Look at some of the 5x5 and other quality posts on here, and you'll learn more than you can ask on EF for the next year. The latter may be mostly BS, but it'll give you a foundation of from where we're coming...

man this is random, its not pain, just stiffness mainly. But sumtimes i get random shoots of pain thru my body, could this be growing pain or something?? cus im only 16?? dude im so worried cus i dont even do heavy weights.. heres the weights i do.

Tricep push down: 25 kgs, 20 reps
35 kgs, 10 reps

bicep (2 handed) 10 kgs, 20 reps
20 kgs, 10 reps

lat raise, 3 kgs 20 reps
4 kgs 10 reps

alternative pullups (on machine) 35 kgs 20 reps, 30 kgs, 10 reps

Plz dont tell me i gota go see a doctor, im absolutely broke dude, and my parents arn't willing to take me.

o and i forgot 2 mention, i get it neally everytime after i work out, but its gone in like a day or so

I'd like to help you, but I haven't a clue what you are trying to accomplish or your equipment.

At 16, you should be doing a full body routine that works in harmony with the natural growth you are going through. This is a great time in your life!

2 exercises per body parts max ... 8-6 reps, 2-3 sets. Lots of clean food and plenty of rest ... perhaps as much as 9-10 hours at your age.

I would guess your are in GB? I have some Yates routines he used as a teen and 20's that would be perfect.

PM me if you want.

What are your goals in regards to training? Do you want to be more muscular? Do you want to get stronger? Do you want to increase muscular endurance? Are you training for a specific sport? Are you training for general health and wellness?

There's little reason to train with such high reps. Heavy weights won't be problematic at the age of 16. You don't have to worry about that. Don't be worried, because they're not growing pains. You're exposing your muscles to something new. You're doing high reps which causes a deep burn in the tissue. This is the build up of lactic acid. The lactate that builds up is great for conditioning, but it's good for little else. You're sore the next day due to the work your muscles put forth to lift weights. In time, this soreness will subside. You're sore because you're not conditioned to the stresses imposed upon the body.

Anyway, be more specific about your desires and I'll do what I can to help.

cheers for helping man. im trying to get strong and a good body mainly. im not training for any sport, just for strength and looks lol. i do 30 reps because thats what my gym accessor told me 2 do. she said its to get the muscle fatigued, so it develops faster or something. the problem is that sometimes aswell as the stiffness, i get shoots of pain go thru a certain part of my body. what could this be ? cheers.
