Hello, I am posting this for my boyfriend who does not have internet access. He has had this lower back pain ever since last week when he was doing squats and he felt a pain while doing so. After a while, the pain continued and now (after a week), he told me that the pain is the worst it's ever been and it is evident. He cannot move without feeling pain, it's hard for him to walk up/down stairs, sit down, stand up, etc...
After researching, he is not sure if it is a liver problem because the pain is generally right where the liver is located (his lower right side hurts more than his left). He also told me his urine is getting darker. He was going to go to the Emergency Room, but I did not think it was the best idea because they would just take tons of XRays, but now I am not too sure. It hurts me to see him like this, please help
*EDIT: sorry I meant LIVER problem, not kidney!
