I just graduated from college in December with a dual major in computer and electrical engineering. I have been looking for a job for almost two months now and I can't find anything. I have sent my resume out to companies all over the US with no success. I graduated with a 3.0 but with no internship experience. I never thought it would be a problem finding a job with my majors, so instead of taking an internship I decided to attend school during the summer too. Now I have my parents and my girlfriend bitching at me because I can't find a job. If I decide to go to grad school I will have to wait until next spring because fall applications were already due. This is shitty because in college they don't prepare you for this. You are told that you will have no problem finding a job. I am really confused right now and need some advice. Thanks

I think alot of people are having this problem right now. Not much out there at this moment. I really don't know if this will help but have you thought about maybe becoming a consultant to smaller companies that can't afford to hire someone of your caliber. You know, a troubleshooter of sorts. Just a thought. You can set your own price(salary) whether it's for a few weeks or several months. Maybe even get a per diem for that kind of work. I don't know what the demand is in those particular fields but it's just a thought! The economy isn't looking good at the moment so you need to become creative in finding work. I wish you luck!
