please help..how much cardio is to much while on?

i am currently bulking aand trying to keep extra fat off in process...if doing 2 on 1 off workout days how much cardio is to much? a week...thanks

no amount is too much...i do cardio everyday..just about...and gained about 20lbs solid muscle..as long as your eating youll mass up
 
All you can do is try something. For example, if you haven't been doing any cardio, then keep eating the same foods for the same caloric values, then add in some cardio 3 times a week. Like Mon, Wed, Sat. for example. DO THIS FIRST THING IN THE MORNING ON EMPTY STOMACH, TAKE ABOUT 4-5 GRAMS OF BCAA TABS 30 MINUTES BEFORE CARDIO, THEN TAKE ABOUT 3 GRAMS MORE AFTERWARDS. Start with 30 minutes cardio at 70% of your max heart rate, basically walking on treadmill at about 3.5 at 3.5 angle for example. Its' not tough, but its a good start. You'll need to up the minutes about every other week, go 30,40,50,then 60. Once you get up to about 50-60 sessions, then you'll really start to see results. Don't go any higher than 75% of your max heart rate, you'll burn fat only if you do this, especially first thing in am on empty stomach. :evil:
 
Any long term cardio for fat loss is a bad idea, for your heart, it's awesome, for fat loss long term, it's horrible. :)

Your body will adapt to the cardio very quickly, it's great if you screwed up on your diet and need it for the last weeks of a competition or to get through some sticking points, but constant cardio your body learns that it will be receiving that cardio so it starts to store fat just for that cardio session because it knows it's gonna get it, the only people that do cardio for competitions anymore are the ones that havn't learned yet :) and contrary to popular belief, it does not depend on if you are an ectomorph or an endomorph or any kind of morph :) But it does work for short periods of time, but if you are doing it for over 6 weeks, you are just working your butt off for no reason. Now for the heart, thats a different matter, but for fat loss, it can be counterproductive. :)
 
ya im just not trying to put on any fat weight...it seems i put on weight in the gut and i bloat like im pregnent ...oolololol...would rewally just like to gain lean mass without looking like a porker when cycle is over with..lol..thanks for advice and karma to all
 
so brick....its ok to do a few times a week to shock the body? how much would you suggest if thats the case. cardio worked great for me! but i dont do it near as much as i was. i just try and keep my hear rate up during my work outs.
 
I just let me diet do the work, but if it works for you, more power to ya, it just isn't necessary, but again, it's great for your heart :)
