Has anyone here experienced a plateau on the atkins diet? Man the first 10 pounds fell off but now its come to a halt. Any suggestions?

ditch the atkins bro, grab the weights cardio machine and ask around for a good diet plenty of bro's around here to steer you in the right direction

i heard to break the plateu it was to drop the FAT or something and eat STRICKLY PROTEIN for 2days atleast and than things sould move along:/ how much lbs u looking to loose 10-20lbs sould go on a regular diet tk it slowly, cause if your lookin to drop 10lbs on atkins u might crash and binge :/

I have plateaued after losing about 20 lbs. I'm curious about this too, but I think it time for more cardio

All diets plateau - however with Atkins its a good idea to take measurements as well as weigh - even better actually.

A lot of Atkins dieters plateau at a weight and find they put on some muscle - which shows on the tape measure but not on the scale.

Stick with it, add some exercise and start taking measurements.

You guys are going about this all wrong. When I dropped 40 lbs in April, yes... _40_ (in one month) it was on a strict "change" of diet and working with it. If you go on a diet, you go off of a diet... you change your diet becaue your diet is what you eat. Want to drop weight? Eat 6-8 times a day with portions no bigger than your fist, cut the shit, cut the Atkins, work your ass off, lose the weight... simple, easy, effective.

First two weeks ar the hardest. Stop complaining, make commitment, I did. I just lost another 2 lbs. on a whim. You seta goal and do it. Don't half-ass it and don't fool yourself with a "diet" plan or pill. You're welcome.

PS- I am a pro-wrestler, nutrition is a _big_ part of my life.

thanks guys

Thanks for the relpies. I have a question for you atkins guys. When I exercise It totally draines me. I mean like someone has given me some type of drug that make you groggy or something. I am really tired the rest of the day. Hard to function. I have read that taking in more fat help with the energy. Any suggestions? Thanks RD

What kind of supplements/gear were you using.

Could you elaborate more for us bro. Training, diet.

thanks

The weight loss came quickly in a strict change in diet and sticking with it. If you have total commitment, you will prevail. Training was mild cardo, big abs, manual labor. Up the cold water intake. I did it without supplements.
