Planned rest?

I do WSB routine, and am thinking of starting to schedule one week off after every six weeks of training. What do you think about that? I don't use gear, by the way.
 
I usually do 8 on 1 off. On the week off I still do some moderate core work and maybe some dreaded cardio. Just keeps the joints and CNS healthy and happy. Only change to that is for when I am doing contest prep then it's 12 weeks on, one week light activity before contest, and one week off after contest.

yes, I was thinking some light cardio on that week off. I have been feeling like i am not recuperating enough, and I tend to feel overtrained after about 2.5-3 months of continuous training.

I'm gonna try it out, cause i think it may help me.
