I believe some other things happened last week. A Russian girl in one of my classes was telling me there was a malfunction in one plane and it had to make an emergency landing. Like loss of an engine or something, not positive so don't be a dick and jump my case, like some of you can be quick to do. Still she mentioned two different things, and how she was nervous about flying last week. And then this happened today. I'm going to go look around and see what I can find on those two last week.. So you don't think I'm an idiot..

A man whose cousin was a passenger on the plane told Greece’s Alpha television he received a cell-phone text message minutes before the crash. “He told me the pilots were unconscious. ... He said: “Farewell, cousin, here we’re frozen,” Sotiris Voutas said.

ive never flown
but if u think about it theres alot less plane wrecks than car wrecks
of course not as manyplanes fly as cars drive but dang
at least you have a chance at survival in a car

Well, really the rate of plane crashes is super low. And if you notice, these were smaller planes, the ones causing death, and the larger Air France flight, was weather related and everyone made it out ok. Knock on wood, but I have yet to be worried on a plane I've flown in. I have made 8 flights over throughout Europe in the past 3 months and none of them bothered me a bit, even though I didn't know the airlines. You just have to remember the rate of airplanes crashing is like nothing. I just don't know what happened with this trend. Sad thing, and yes very scary.

That's really rough that the passengers knew that the pilots were unconscious, and knew they were all goners for at least ten minutes before they crashed.

I read that too.

Apparently one guy text messaged his cousin minutes before the crash saying that he knew the pilots were unconscious and that he was going down. He gave him his final farewell. Absolutely crazy.
