How much cake/ice cream?

I have a large family and there's always a birthday party going on. Of course the kids always need their cake so we usually get a bunch of cake and ice cream for them. It's not that expensive and can feed a large family no problem.
my question is and that situation how much would you eat and how would you turn down cake if offered to you at a party like this without insulting family members

I always turn it down even when offered. it is almost an insult for people to offer it to me but in some cultures it is very rude to turn it down, so in taht case accept it and just don't eat it.. very simple

You have a few options:

-turn it down
-take it and only eat a couple bites
-eat it and consider it a weekly cheat meal

In the end, a single cheat meal isn't going to ruin all your work if you don't make it a habit.
