[I'm sorry guys, I tried to post this thread on the Life Extension Board but there seems to be a bug,(I can't post on this forum)]

My doctor just prescribed this nootropic to me since I've the flu and I feel tired (and I can't stay at home, I need to work)

Have you tried Piracetam for this purpose ?

What other feedback could you give me on Piracetam ?

BTW it is a pretty cheap stuff :)

Hey, come on guys and gals

Nobody has ever experienced Piracetam ?

Well, it does not seem to interest much people :(

Here is some info:

I tried Piracetam while I have the flu

it is supposed to Increase the power of human memory and facilitate learning (sharper brain/ cognitive enhancement) :

Bu I have never experienced such improvements

Yeah, most of the research on it says it's supposed to do that. I THINK it might be one of the ingredients in Neurogenex. But is a common ingredient in nootropics anyway. Maybe you ned to take it for longer. Or maybe you need to increase your choline and inositol intake while on it ... Go check out Ceeb's Neurogenex threads on the Women's forum here and at Strongchick and you might find some more info on what else potentiates the effects. :) I hope your flu's better ...

Hi Steel,

where have you been ? :)

Actually I think nootropics work better with people who are sensitive to the placebo effect (I am not)

I'll have a look at Ceeb's Neurogenex threads

[As for the flu, nothing beats sleep and patience :D ]

Heya Anthrax - been around - but I'm a student now, so haven't been posting much. And I post more at chemicalmuscle/strongchick nowadays. But I regularly read your posts :)

I find chocolate cookies, lots of sleep and lots of water work well for flu :)

You're plain right !

Sleep enhances the immune system

Water helps fight dehydratation ( very common when you have the flu)

and chocolate cookies contain magnesium, copper, zinc and iron. I
They also contain polyphenols, which are a type of photochemicals that are high in antioxidant properties
(and chocolate = release of serotonin and endorphins = :p )

That's why in about 10 days I'll start a chocolate diet :D

Cool! Let me know how you progress. lol :)

You might wanna add in some chocolate protein shakes just to make sure you have a good balance of chocolate sources.
