You could say there for b-12 shots, maybe? Or say there for your dad to worm his golden retrievers -- afterall, your father is a dog breeder, right?

They actually shouldn't say anything to you, but if they do, you could say one of the above.

I have never seen a Wal-Mart in my area (Milwaukee) to sell pins any bigger than 25/26 guage. You will be very lucky to find 25 guage around here. All they carry are insulin pins, and have an overstock on Micro-Fines.
I got hassled when I tried to get 25 guages.

The only possible wording you can really do... is something about insulin. They sell pins exclusively for diabetes there, nothing else (in my area, yours may be different).

I told them is was for insulin, and was looking for 25 guage. They said they didn't have any, and pushed getting 28/29 guage. Smallest they had was 27 guage Micro-Fines. I just took those and stopped arguing, since I needed some slin pins anyway. I was originally looking for 25 guage for something or other... never found them anywhere (Wal-Mart, Walgreens, etc.). Just ended up ordering them.

I never tried getting pins at my college town (Oshkosh), so I cannot advise anything there. My only thought is they may be a bit more weary...
I suggest just ordering them if you are not in Cali/Illi. Depends on how bad you need them, and for what. 27-29 guage don't do well for many things.

depending on what state, as if it is legal with or with out a script. Say there for B12 shots, but that doesn't mean anything, I used to work in a pharmacy and they would frown upon giving needles to big guys. I would though, because I know you need them, but most won't.

Your best bet is to go to getpinz.com or something similar, I believe it has less than a week turnaround.

Insulin pins are completely different from IM pins. They are much smaller much smaller. Some only hold a 1/2 mL. The pin itself is like .5 in and usually 28-29 gauge. It wouldn't even reach the muscle for the inject.
