Pin Disposal

Intrigue

New member
Hello all,

Just thought I would ask, how you bro's go about disposing of used pins. I have aquired quite a collection, and am running out of room to store anymore. I would like to get rid of all of them that I have now, and just thougnt I would ask what is the safest (both, legally and physically) way to do this? Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks,
I

I use two ways. I either save old laundry detergent bottles and fill them and duct tape them shut. Then throw them away in a random dumpster. I have also duct taped the pins in a plastic garbage bag really tight with multiple layers. The bottle method is best. First and for most you should be concerned that no one is poked or injured from your used pins.

I just put them in a bottle as well, I suppose you could crimp the ends to make sure no jackass re-uses them, maybe there is a medical waste disposal out there, hmm.

damn i guess i never thought of anyone being hurt by them, i just throw them in the trash, but always put the needle cap on them at least.

Goto any firedept, and get a sharp container, its a red box with a lid, then when your done with it, you can take it to the fire dept and have it disposed of and get another, if they ask what you use it for, which I highly doubt they will cause they could give a shit less, say your brother is a diabetic or something. Safest way to get the pins disposed of.

Edit: I think the fire dept has to run ALS units (Advanced Life Support) for them to carry the containers, up north they run mostly first responders, (no medical equipment) so try a hospital if the firedept up there doesn't have the containers.
