1) I just got off of the phone with her a few hours ago and she has already told him that she's filing. If she doesn't divorce him, that's fine too. I would just hope she would more for her sake then fo mine. Life is simply too short to settle and she's clearly unhappy. 2)Again, I disagree with you. I don't believe people's pasts determine their character flaws. If the previous decisions are a trend then perhaps, otherwise this would not pertain to this certain circumstance.
3)She has only been with this one guy. We were friends far longer then anything else, and have both been extremely open and honest with one another, she would have no reason to lie to me about this. Besides, she had been raised up in an extremely religious household and didn't even lose her virginity until she was 25, didn't have her first drink until she was 28. She's been in school her entire life, this has always been her main focus.
4) Why do you assume she hasn't cummunicated these feelings to him before? Just becasue I didn't state it, doesn't mean you can interpret the story so it fits your argument and skewed perspective on this predicament. She has discussed all of her concerns to him, but to no avail ie. she wants children and he does not, she wants to continue to travel the world and he does not, he's a lazy pot head with no real ambition and she is far from that. She has stayed this long becasue he is more or less her childhood buddy, and she's in a 'comfortable' situation rendering her lazy in the regard to being the catalyst for her own betterment. It appears she just needed someone to tell her to make it all 'real' to her.
She just invited me to go to India with her for a wedding. I told her I would not feel comfortable going with her current status. She said that everything should be finalized by then so we'll see. She's paying too = )
