Pic of my mangled moob

ouch. Those suck

Was it a max, or one of those things you knew was coming but ignored?

That'll put you out for 8-12 months probably, but it means more time leg and back workouts.. hgh and ART or rapid (really rapid, like a month) surgical intervention will help

I had a tight spot in my pec for a couple of weeks but it hadn't bothered me until now. Wasn't a max was actually lifting light.

It's really a very minor tear I'll probably start lifting light in a couple of weeks and see how it feels. I have full mobility and can push stuff without pain already.

Let this be a learning experience for others: if you have a nagging tight spot that just won't loosen up, go see your local ART guy and get it worked on before you get hurt!!!

how do you know it's coming?

and scots do you plan on seeking a doc?
i didn't think you are working at the moment and maybe you don't have ins?

I had of it similar ones, being young!
The tegumentary system finds sometimes means to repair that...
would not be anxious, the skin'll grow, you will see them definitely less...

I hope you recover quickly.

I was in the gym once and I guy got a pec tear and we could HEAR it pop from across the gym. He needed up needing surgery but his case was much worse than yours.

I do not know if you stretch before working out but I always do. I've read all of the report on how stretching lowers strength but every injury I have ever had was because I didn't stretch and do a warm up. I see posts all the time in the AAS forum on how bad stretching is. IMO stretching is necessary.

Alright I'll try and answer all the questions in one shot.

No I am not going to the doctor, I tore my pec about 9 years ago and after being fucked with by the med staff they finally told me that all I could do was rest and ice. They called it a superficial skin and muscle tear, you could actually hear the muscle pop that time.

Stro- regular razor. I don't shave the pits for aesthetics I do it because it cuts down on deoderant use and sweating.

Yes I had warmed up and stretched and normally it has been going away after warm-up. I actually felt really good for the first five reps. Hell rep six started back off my chest easy enough.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone and I'll keep you updated. The bruising is already starting to subside and the pain is almost completely gone today.

omg that's hot.

i mean, i'm sorry. I hope you get better soon. I know a few people who have done that and it can be a slow recovery. Don't go back to lifting too fast. just let it heal.

Know what else is hot? the bruises on the back of my arms from my bench shirt.

Now if only you were single and 1,500 miles closer I might get some sympathy lovin. :p

I'm going to take it really easy no sense in permanently injuring myself.

I like the bench shirt bruises on women, much better than the prissy cardio bunnies.

good to know its a minor tear, my boy had an equally minor re-rip in that area 12 months ago and he's still not back to 100%. He went from a 545 raw bench to doing sets of 20 with 225.

because Canada has the Bestest Socialized Healthcare in the whole world (so it says on the internets) he didn't get the option of a repair until after 6 months by which time it was too late... US shouldn't have that problem, it's worth seeing if surgical intervention can help imo

Bino, you always know, even if you don't recognize until after the event - there's tightness, knots, aches etc in the area before you tear it. My WO partner complained for 2 weeks prior about a pulling in his chest.. I knew when I tore my rotator that something was brewing.

Thanks again for the well wishes everyone.

The bruising and swelling are going down nicely. I have full range of motion without pain today. Still feels tight when I stretch, but all in all not too shabby.

Bruising just started coming up today so I'll have to wait and see how bad it gets.

For those who don't know I tore my pec yesterday benching.

Full tear? Get ready for a long shitty road. I'm still nursing a rotator cuff tear after 21 weeks. Lost over 20lbs of muscle and looking like horse shit. Hope you have a speedy recovery. good luck
