Education is one thing, but maybe we should stop blaming schools for fat unfit kids & look towards the parents.

Except for a few, FEW public school systems in better-class cities, the whole US public education system is a joke, and is probably being laughed at worldwide. Even when I was attending public school in Los Angeles in the 80s, it had fallen to ruin. If my mother hadn't been a military school teacher, and my Grandpa a military academy professor, I wouldn't have much of any education. Public schools are full of kids of parents who don't care, and have no drive for advancement. Further, these parents stuff their kids with junk food to compensate for lack of attention and care, as they're so busy with two careers to pay for a house and vehicles that they can't afford. Add to all of that, the fact that Nintendo has replaced the ballgame in the street, and you have a whole herd of out-of-shape butterballs who CAN'T participate in any real PE class, as they'd drop dead of a heart attack.
