The third time was certainly not the charm for Phil Collins, who's facing yet another pricey divorce.

After six years of marriage and two children, the musician's former wife, Swiss-born Orianne Cevey, 35, has received a $46.76 million cash payout from Collins, 57, reports Britain's Daily Mirror.

The record settlement – Britain's biggest ever in a celebrity divorce – tops by some $2 million what Paul McCartney gave Heather Mills earlier this year.

Collins is no stranger to expensive breakups. Second wife Jill Tavelman received $34 million after he ended their relationship by fax in 1994.

In all, according to a Daily Telegraph tally, Collins's divorces have cost him $84 million – nearly a third of his estimated $280 fortune.

Collins and Cevey met on tour in 1994 while she was working as a translator. Their children are Nicolas, 8, and Matthew, 4.

Collins also has three other children: Lily, from his marriage with Tavelman, and Simon and Joelyi, from his first marriage – to Canadian-born Andrea Bertorelli. That

Well, from the women's perspective here. Women of rich men often are expected to give up everything, their careers, etc and just focus on that man and his career and then raising kids and such. Then, when they get bored and have a mid life crises and want some 19 year old Piece of Tail, they are ready to just throw a woman that supported their careers and loved them and had their children out on the street with NOTHING, which isn't fair.

Ok in a case like that then yes they are entitled to some $$$. However someone like this who was married to phil for 6 years.......way after he made his career......which means she had nothing to do with his advancement in his career, shouldnt get 47 mil., thats just crazy. Come on Heatherrae you have to agree on that. There is no way she deserved that amount of money.
Or how about the women that married a man for his money and 10 years later leaves for another man 10 years younger than her husband. On top of that she never worked a day in her life and has done nothing for society, plus takes the mans kids away.

From what I've heard, he has always been a real asshole and a cheater.

I think what he is doing is giving her a one time payout instead of alimony and child support, which is actually smart on his part because then he never has to deal with her again. That's what he did with his other two divorces.

If he makes another 250 million she can't come back sniffing around for a larger slice like she likely would.

Why these guys don't do prenups is beyond me. No prenup = no wedding.
