So it sounds like it was the faults of whoever leaked the photos. Maybe they should lose a year's salary seeing as how they were the ones violating official rules. They're the ones that should be hunted down and punished.
Although at the same time, why take the chance and do an ad for anyone around the Olympics other than official sponsors? It's not like Phelps would've had a shortage of them. Hate to think it's greed; I've heard he's kind of a douche.
Another thought: if these ads really did "appear" during the Olympics, then how come now is the first time they're being reported about??

the photo shoot was done well before the olympics. These ad campaigns get put together months and months befroe they're released officially....so you can't put any fault on him for doing a photo shoot while he's in training for the olympics and in his best shape. But the IOC can eat a whole ass if they even think about taking his medals. The outrage here in the states would be palpable. That kid worked his ass off to be the best that ever was and to take medals him cause of corporate interests that weren't even touched negatively anyway.

hmmm, sounds suspect don't you think? Which teammate was it? Lochte? cause he got outed as the slacker not phelps. Not sure what wsa going on before the olympics but Phelps peaked when he needed it.
