Personal Exp-Most effective Type of Cardio

Swimming hands down. Easy on the joints, burns a lot of fat too. The only downfall can be finding a pool at times. Next I would say jogging.

For me when it comes to fat loss nothing beats 4.4 at 3% on the treadmill. I usually do 45mins-1hour in the AM on an empty stomach

Eliptical trainer - 45 minutes daily when cutting

use the alternating program on it, and bump it way up on the highs and half of that on the lows.....make sure to get some reverses in too.

Have fun.

LOL, actually it makes it about 50% less effective if you hold on IMO. For your information I have a 1lb pink dumbell in each hand when I run.

I love the elipticals!

I get shin splints really bad for some reason when I run (or dance or cut grass, for that matter.. LOL).

The elipse if VERY low impact and is very "scalable" (to use some IT language... hehe).

Great machine.

I try to do 45 mins first thing on an empty stomach or do about 20-30 mins after weights. Those seem to be the best times to hit the fat deposits.

I like to alternate my cardio workout every time. I do treadmill for interval sprints, stairmaster, elipticals, rowing, and occasionally swimming.
What I like most is to cycle in the mountains surrounding the town I live in. Nothing beats a high and steep hill taken at high speed, followed by a resting pause while driving downhill at lunatic speed. Love it.

i think my mom uses those when she does tai bo :lmao:

so when are you canadians coming to NYC so we can show you what's up

All you have to to is walk ...the key is to keep an elevated heart rate for a sustained period of time....If you go above that by and do it too much then you will also burn muscle.

When I pre pare for a show the only thing I do is walk on the tread mill starting 4 or 5 weeks out, and so does everybody else I know in preparing for a show My training partner looses about 35 lbs going into a show and all he does is walk, but he works up to 1 hr a day of cardio too...that sucks
