I read an article about this man (or possibly woman, the article's author seemed confused on that issue). I then went to his website. All I can say is WTF! I lost 20 IQ points just by typing the URL of the website. Please, please, someone tell me that there are no more than 10 Americans that have ever gone to that website. Sadly, I think I know the truth. The website probably gets 7 figures in hits per day and this idiot is a millionaire. If that's the case, America's status as a world superpower is over.

People LOVE reading about celebrities. Cuz their own life is boring. Plus they want to act out the celebrity life in thier own life. Especially young women.

Gossip is like a billion dollar industry. Tabloids, tmz, news channels, etc. etc. People spend more time focusing on britney spears than wall st, north korea or how politicians are fuckign them over.

And as Elites, people with money - they are quite happy when the populace is distracted.

Shit not just young ones. Into their 40's at least it seems like most women have a lot of interest in celeb gossip. In Style, the only fashion mag I read anymore, spends probably 30% of their non-ad space on celeb gossip of some sort. My friends talk about celeb crap frequently. Clearly I'm an oddball in that I don't give a shit how skinny Angelina Jolie is now or what Somalian baby she's adopted most recently.

I love gossiprocks.com! I would argue men gossip as much as women, it's a human trait. Although women most probably do purchase more tangible properties of gossip considering we are the demographic targeted as primary consumers of well, everything. lol
