It's all relative, what you are talking about is trying to replace 1lbs of fat with 1lbs of muscle that is one can of worms...

Another can of worms is %ages. In essence, like I said before it's relative.

To adequately decide on the % breakdowns, you must consider what your body absolutely needs to maintain energy balance, this is non linear... IT is ever changing. So assuming we can look at what your body needs at an extremely basic micro level we have this:

A) at least bodyweight in protein intake
B) at least some source of essential fatty acids.

Unless you are eating strictly whey isolate and efa pills, you will invariably have tag along fats and carbs... Regardless what diet you are on.

C) carbs can range from a lot to just tag along carbs from protein and fat sources.

So we have a complex and confusing situation. To further complicate things assuming A) is a standard, the %ages will change depending on how much you weigh.

Thus, my point is... There is no golden ratio. The ratio will be made once you decide how many calories you need per day.

So we start with calories per day. Then we subtract our minimum calories from protein. We are left with a decision of what to make up the rest of the calories from.

The choice is yours and should be based on YOUR needs, macro perspective of your diet, and how much training you are doing.

There are just too many factors to consider. If you posted some of your needs and factors of consideration, I could make a decent reply.

Correct at some point its more of the calorie count in totality that matters more so than the macro %s.

I still like 55% pro, 30% carbs and 15% fats as my own base or roughly.

162 I know tht is no where near my ultimate goal, but I can get to 170 easy. At 170 I feel fat, so I want to get lean and than eclipse the 175 mark.
