People that Believe in "Natural" Only Shouldn't Drive Cars Either.

Cut the shit man. Your "location"says USA!!!! When you are talking about steroids and you post from the US what other country could you be talking about. You must have "ASSUMED" everyone here is a dumbass.

I could have been talking about Mexico now couldn't I have?

Let's take a look!! How many people drive cars??? How many people use roids??? I think that you will find a lot more people driving cars.

Here you make a good point I have to admit. But since most people are to lazy to lift weight I don't think whole lot of people would use gear.

Also, if you had as many stupid morons using roids as there are driving cars you will see a lot of issues with roids. Why do you think they became illegal int he first place.

If you live in the US and go to Mexico to get your roids it is still illegal. Just because you buy them somewhere else doesn't mean it's legal. SO, if I go to Mexico and buy a pound of mary jane and take it back to the US it isn't illegal for me to have and smoke it??

Look at what has happened in the last couple of years with just ephidrine. They might make it illegal soon as well. Many people abuse it and a few people have died from it. Oh ya, some of them were pro and college players. Just an example of instructed abuse....Ripped Fuel says to ttake 6 pills a day for optimal results. If you are dieting hard and taking 6 a day it is dangerous. A friend of mine was overweight and was using the RF along with WO's and diet. He lost a lot of weight in a short period of time, but one day he just passed out in the parking lot at the store from exhaustion. He just got done at the gym and he was picking up post WO shakes and some supplements. That is just one example of an ephidrine horror story. I myself took 2 pre workout and was only on about 4-5 hours of sleep. I got to the gym and started feeling dizzy while lifting. Stopped for a little bit until I felt better, but it still scared the shit out of me.

Plain and simple, Abuse of anything is going to hurt you.

Exactly. So why is gear illegal and alcohol, tobacco and McDonalds not? Because of sports that's why.

Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion on this. I don't think there is much good in fighting over it all the time. Many people don't use geer just for the simple fact that they don't know what all it can do to there body. Others are willing to take the chance, just like smoking and drinking. I don't look down on people because they drink or smoke so why should I look down on someone who uses gear? I'm not saying that I totally agree with what there doing but it IS THEIR choice and we shouldn't call them stupid for that. Now if someone gets on it and doesn't read up on it and are not careful with the doses I might call that stupid.

I agree that the analogy was a bit weak...but using names like stupid and moron is not called for at all. I know that I say some things on here that I shouldn't from time to time...but name calling does not make me any better.

The analogy was weak, but I do agree with his point. For most sports...AAS have became the "car" so to the ragular public. They basically have to have it to perform..their job, career, family all depend on how they perform.

Curling,

You keep persisting in embarassing yourself further by continuing to argue the pathetic analogy you made.

Cars don't kill people, it's the people driving them that cause death. Cars are not illegal, but there are many aspects of the way you drive the car that are, ie speeding, drink driving, not stopping at a stop sign, etc etc.

I just can't believe that you are carrying on with this. You have managed to offend virtually every sensible person the world over with your stupid analogy

I agree wholeheartedly with the premise behind the analogy. However, the analogy itself is terrible. Unless you can make an argument that one would easily be able to find a home where their job, grocery store, hospital, etc, is well within walking distance, one's car is quite necessary to LIVE and provide for ones family. Unless you are a pro BB'er, no such argument can be made for gear.

In all fairness, cars CAN be used safely. SO CAN STEROIDS! They're prescribed for MANY legitimate medical purposes, and used under controlled, correct conditions, they're probably one of the safest drugs out there. When was the last time someone ODed on steroids? Hormone replacement therapy is perfectly safe and effective, the use of anabolics for recovering trauma victims, AIDS patients, etc. is widespread...

The problem comes from abuse. Too young, too much, too often. Besides legality issues... (And yes, in many places, if you drive over 56 you ARE breaking the law. Not a felony, no, but you'll probably end up hurting far more people that way than if you take steroids. Statistics don't lie. Judge how many people died in car accidents last year. Now compare that to the number of deaths caused by steroids.) Steroids are abused. Doses taken in wild excess are common, extended cycle and bridging are common, people knowingly will risk their health taking potentially dirty gear, etc. Also, there is of course the age issue.

Nobody will deny that their "recreational use" is a risk. But so is driving a car. Neither is a necessity (Though a car is certainly closer to one), so I think that's what the analogy was driving at.

I think we all agree, the analogy could use some work, but the thought behind it is what I think should be up for debate. Everyone has something to say about those who choose to use gear. But frankly, its a personal choice and no one else's business if I choose to use gear. I'm willing to bet that drinking 6 cups of coffee a day is harder on a person's body than the amount of gear I use. But I bet everyone who drinks that much coffee, will have a negative comment to make about my gear use. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one!

To those that feel the need to flame needlessly, and resort to name calling, there is no place for that shit on this board, take it to the chat board where the other kids hang out. The training board is a fairly close knit community where everyone comes to learn and share knowlege. If you can't share your opinion without sounding like a 2 year old that didn't get his way, then you're not wanted here!

RELAX MY FELLOW BRETHERN.......... I AM HERE TO CLEAR UP ALL OF THE CONFUSION ON THIS THREAD!!!!!

for the record.... i wouldnt even know what a steroid would look like if you sat it down in front of me......... im with bfold....... i went from 160lbs up to 265lbs in 3 three years naturally....... however i opt to cary more bodyfat than him.

here is a better analogy of this:

steroids are not to be considered like your car!?!?!?!?!

your body is the car........ at least interms of this post.

steroids would best be described as NITROUS OXIDE (NOS) for your car

:mix:

now does that clear everything up for everyone?!?!?!?!
