Pectoralis Minor

hittman

New member
What are the exercises which focus on this area, i'm trying to get rid of my collarbone showing too much.

I found that Dips brought out my Pectoralis minor well and also working the clavicular head doing incline flyes was a nice compliment.

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU PERFORM INCLINES!!!!

Forget about the bench press and focus on the movements that build your chest. Be sure to use the arch deluxe, which will allow you to recruit more muscle fibers in the chest particularly along the sternal and collar bone areas.

The pectoral minor runs underneath your pec from I believe your 2nd rib to your 5rd rib near the outside of your pec. If you make it larger it will push the outer pec outwards more... If your pectoral minor gets excessively strong, and you dont have a good strong back, and stretch the hell out of your pecs, the over powering nature of this muscle will pull your delts forward and will potentially create tendon impingments in your shoulder...

To really hammer this mucle group do limited ROM pullovers... I do these every week on chest day and the outsides of my pecs have really pushed themselves out...

DON'T FORGET TO STRETCH YOUR PECS IF YOU PLAN ON GROWING YOUR PECTORAL MINOR!

what the hell are you guys talking about?

pec minor is deep to pec major. you dont bring it "OUT". its a stabilizer.

i think you are mixing up the 2 heads of the pec major...and calling the clavicular head "minor". thats incorrect.

good reference.

try to teach kinesiology to some people here is like tryina teach a dog to type.

hmm.. so its the clavical head that needs to be built up. but still, the excersizes me named build the clavical head.

I can see my pectoralis minor. especially when I put my arms up and out in front of me (like superman) and flex my pecs, I can see them clearly.
Stabilizer or not, it can be brought out if you strengthen it enough.

You are thinking about the Serratus Anterior as seen here :

Hey, it was the best way to describe the position of my arms, gimme a break, lol.

But I am certain its my Pectoralis minor that is clearly visible. I can also see the serratus.
