Peaking for new bench max help

So I just finished the smolov jr for bench at a 4 week cycle, with 3 workouts per week, and reduced load. My previous max was a shaky 210, and now I want to retest my max. I did my last workout for smolov saturday, but added one more of my own (4x3x200, 1x2x200) to make sure I was ready for a max out. So my question is would it be fine to max out on wednesday (did my last workout today, monday) or should I do a deload type thing for a week then max out? If I should do a routine for a week could you suggest one based on my max of 210? Thanks!

why maxin out? keep ur rep range around 3-5 for strength...compound heavy movements, hit it 2 - 3 times a week, ull see it go up quick

Yeah but want to test my new max since I just finished the 4 weeks and need to know my max for when I start a new bench cycle. I just want to know how to peak my strength since I just finished a decently demanding workout routine. I have heard you should do a light week, then I have heard you can just max right away. Which one?

Other than JUST TO DO A MAX, there really isn't much of a reason to do a 1RM.

Weight Used X reps completed X 0.0333 + Weight Used = Rough 1RM Estimate

I can usually do more than what it estimates and I'd say that it only works for 5 reps or under.

Thanks that's a good calculator. But does anyone have opinions on whether I should deload for a week or should I just go for a max on Wednesday then deload for a while afterward. I'm determined to do a max :)

You should try it 4-5 days after your last training day. Your body is still used to push heavyweight and it would be better than doing it after a deload. Since your program was only 4 weeks long you don't really need a deload right now. That's how i see it atleast

I suggest to deload when you feel you need to deload.

Would you normally be training on Wednesday?

Yeah I usually lift 3x fullbody routine, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesdays and Thursdays are rick climbing, abs and cardio. I'm feeling pretty good today so I think I will go for my max then take a week off benching. Hoping for 225, actually, not hoping. I'm GOING to get 225. I even wrote down in my logbook that I'm going to get 225 if it takes me all day today.:D

Yesterday was great! Not only did I get 225 like I wanted, but it seemed so easy I moved it up. I ended up getting 235 for bench and almost getting 240! Thanks.
