what could you do to clean out your pc if u knew the fuzz was gonna nab you? how could someone go about doing this? i was worried for a buddy of mine thanks

I don't trust much of those evidence erasers. Seeing as though i can recover data that has been erased, written over and moved by myself, i can't imagine what the FBI could do.
So the only real way to make sure your data is safe is to burn the hard drive. I would set up a external hard drive, put it in a sealed container thats fire safe. Then fill so called container with a highly flammable powder that burns with high intensity at like 1000 deg or more and rig it to a electric switch with a relay so if any event does happen, flick the switch and watch your hard drive melt away.

Get a large piece of steel, a car battery and lots of metal wire. wrap the metal wire around the piece of steel and put one end on the positive and one end on the negative. Voila! SUPER powerful electromagnet!
BECAREFUL, wear THICK rubber gloves. The volts running through that are very strong and can potentially kill a person.
Possible attach one end to a switch, connecting battery -> switch -> metal wire and keep this on the side of your computer so if the feds come a knockin' simply flip the switch and EVERYTHING on your computer is GONE and to my knowledge cant be salvaged.
Feds can recover drives deleted, reformatted and smashed. Because when you delete something your only deleting the shortcut to the file on your harddrive, but the actual imprint is still there.
