pause squats

Impressive, and not to nit pick but his form isn't the best, he has a big hitch on the way up where his legs start up then he "goodmornings" the weight up. Hopefully this is due to fatigue from working out, otherwise those kids in the vid will learn to do it that way too.

thats his style they may not be text book!!! but hes squatted over a grand in competition

looking at his workouts these are usually done after a reg squats so we all know form suffers when you get tired

I kind of figured that it was due to fatigue from the motion, plus pause squats cause you to do weird things on their own. No doubt he is a freaky strong bastard though. I always worry about passing bad habits on to people, that's why I think team coaching works best so you have more than one style going on.

I hate mirror crashing as I call it. Catch myself doing it from time to time and man does it piss me off.

If your in the squat rack the only way to look retarded is to be doing curls.

but everyone in my gym thinks thats what "those racks" are for
:chomp:
I have no qualms about kicking someone out for doing curls. If you can curl it, you can easily pick it up off the floor in an area that doesn't interfere with anyone. No big deal if it's not crowded up I refuse to wait while some noodlearm finishes his umpteenth rep of some exotic curling superset.

wnt2....I was away for the holidays in Florida last week. I was training at a Gold's because it was the closest to my Grandmother's home.

I was doing goodmornings and had 365 on the bar. I walked to get a drink and somebody was unloading my weight. I excused myself and told him that I had another set or two. He gave me a dirty look and walked away without putting back the weights he took off. Whatever! I just wanted to get out of there without an incident. He walked over to the newly open power rack and put 10's on each side and starting doing curls. I just shook my head and kept working out. He then came over and gave me advise that I shouldn't do that as it might hurt my back. I thanked him and said I appreciate the advise, but I think I'm going to be alright.

Florida is LOADED with bodybuilders.....LOL
