Parking Spaces

Back in or pull straight in? You are going to have to back up/pull in sometime either way. Personally, I pull in. I think it looks cheezy when some cars are backed in. My car does :FRlol:

I have a four-wheel drive Suburban...so I park wherever the hell I want to. I usually just pull in but sometimes you have survey the parking lot and see how it will be easier to escape, for example is it was a parking lot at the movies or some other function where everybody will be leaving at the same time.

Sometimes you get lucky to have a spot where there is no car infront of you so you can pull in up to the next spot. Same end result as backing in, but a lot less work.

Humor Me has a good point about surveying the lot. Christmas time at the mall on a weekend is murder trying to get out. Unless you have no problem with parking a good 75-100 yards from the mall. It's a hike, but well worth the stress you saved yourself from when the mall closes.

Backing into a space..

I pull in unless I have a good reason to back in such as Spaces that will be hard to back out of after the lot fills up.

This is what I tend to think, too. Everyone at work backs in...doesn't matter if they've got a BMW or a protege. hahaha

Jeez, you guys are lucky to have the choice. Here in Edinburgh, you see a space, you take it. Back up, pull in, hell, jump 80 feet in the air and land in the space, you get your car's ass in there before someone else takes it. Fast. Especially anywhere on a Saturday afternoon.
