Here's some reasons why Parabolan was so wildly popular with us older guys.
This was the first trenbolone product available to bodybuilders and powerlifters. It was immediately obvious that this was a steroid that finally delivered on the promise of deca. Deca and tren are from the same family tree.........synthetic testosterone derivatives that are chemically engineered to be more anabolic and less androgenic than regular test. Tren just does this better. It binds more readily to muscle tissue AR receptors than it does to, say, prostate tissue or other undesireable parts of the body. So it's anabolic/androgenic ratio is much better than test, and somewhat better than deca. Less bloat, hair loss, gyno......more muscle growth.
Everyone read a 1989 research study that showed this muscle AR binding strength. But it wasn't the ester, it was the parent compound. Longer chain ester's were the vogue in those days.
Finaject, which is tren acetate, made it's appearence shortly after para, and for my money, was the better drug. A shorter ester delivers more mg per ml than a longer one due to the weight of the ester molecules.
BTW, the ester in parabolan (7 carbons with an added oxygen molecule) is LESS water soluble than the acetate ester. That's the point of long chains......to slow passage from lipid to water. As someone above pointed out, tren is tren once it is cleaved from the ester by the esterase enzyme in blood plasma.
The main advantage to both para and finaject........human grade, no cough, no taste, no bacteria. The powders are readily available. It's just a matter of time.
