Paintball -- and it's relevant effects on the knee

Well then.... This past Sunday I engaged in a rather friendly game of Paintball up at the local "Paintball-atorium" -- and during the first game, as I was running in behind a gigantic tree-stump... I heard a crunching noise that seemed to be coming from my right knee... I rolled over and was soon in agony...

Much to my delight, the asshole that was shooting at me as I was laying in pain, clinching my knee, was a horrible shot, and Unloaded about 20 rounds before rolled over behind the tree-stump and called myself out.

It turns out, from the Ortho, that my knee is just sprained... no torn miniscius or what not, and it should be back to "in sports" shape in 3 weeks and fully functional in 6. Right now... it is stiff, and I can't bring my heel back toward my ass anymore than 90 degrees.

Ahh well, at least I didn't pull a Christopher Reeves on the course.

You gotta watch out on those outdoor fields. A lot of them aren't kept up nearly as well as they should be.

Went out with some friends a couple of years ago, and one of the guys decided it'd be a good idea to low-crawl through the field. Ended up with a wicked case of poison ivy all over his stomach and arms.

Just be glad that while you were cluthing your knee that other guy didn't shoot you in the nuts.

I've had it happen....talk about "pure" agony.

yeah, nut shots are never pretty.

I was the sniper the next game from the tower... but got hit in the hopper because of my inability to "get down" and kneel on my knee that was injured... I was kind of a sitting duck up there... but at least I got to shot alot of paint at the opponent and get one guy out.

i always wear knee pads cause i dive alot

you are also on your knees a lot when you play paintball


i remember my first game, i slid on the floor and hit a huge rock with my knee...it fucking hurt so bad

kneepads are a must! espically indoors!

baggie pants can also help, i dont know how many nut shots my pants have saved me
