p90x

the before and after pix of the founder (i think he was anyways) weren't that impresive... he aleady had the makings of a six pack. cardio will do that though at that size.

ive actually thought about postin a thread on p90x but never could bring myself to do it. i agree some ofthe guys in the before and after shots already had the makings of a six pack, all he had to do was lose some fat. also noticed there isnt much size gain in the photos either just fat loss. yeah they look ripped but again just skinny. deffinately not the body i want and probably not the body most guys on here would want either. endurance is one thing but bulk is another. it probably does a good job cutting fat since its alot of cardio but again it comes down to what u want to look like.

The actors in the movie 300 are reported to have gone on the p90x workout right before their shoot. I've always assumed that actors
(at least some of them) take steroids to get ready for a movie, but these are at least a few hundred actors that went on one program and came ouit pretty ripped. Of course it's probably not like it's advertised. Just curious if anyone in here had tried it.

The actors for 300 had an entire coaching team training them with various workouts which are nothing like the p90x... I agree they used almost no free weights in there training and some may think it may be similar to p90x but some of there excersises were insane.. just look it up on youtube

I`m almost sure the 300 actors(ok maybe only 200 of them) took steroids...

the whole thing seems like a joke.

Don't buy..download a torrent and try it. Work the whole program..don't try it for a day and say it sucks...go to teambeachbody's forum...talk to the bros over there..they all work there ass off...I am dripping when I finish a work out...you do lose alot of fat.(good for me) but also put on muscle..

Really easy to critize thinks you don't personally know....I hear it all the time , usually from red neck boys about my car...Porsches suck, boxster are for pussies...that a chick car...as they are driving there beater Pickup or some other piece of crap..they stop laughing when I fly past them at 100mph, or I have my hot trophy wife in the car and they have there toothless in breed sister/girlfriend!...This wasn't meant as an insult to you...just keep your mind open...don't say something sucks till you've worked it yourself.

In all seriousness...it a great program for someone who want to get really fit...build some muscle, lose body fat, have great flexiblity..Tony Horton is a great training coach and pushes everyone to bring it...Hardest workout's I've ever done, and I use to do splits back in my juicin days..and I'm a Marine (Once a Marine ALWAYS a Marine Hoo Raa)...nothing in boot camp or the fleet has kicked my ass like P90X...

I think a good cycle would be 3 Months of INTENSE weight training, followed by 90days of P90X..and just keep repeating...Diet is the key...now go buy anabolic kitchen and get to work!!

Did the p90x and startedon Sept 1st. This was my answer to taking a "so called" break from my everyday lifting. I did this every day and this thing is a killer. I gave it my all and followed the nutrition perfectly. Results, STARTED:18%bf (trying to gain some size, lol)196 pounds. ON day 90 - 9%bf (CUT IN HALF!!!) and 203 pounds. Now, I must say.... I did 80mgs of Anavar for almost 9 weeks after day 30. Granted some may call that cheating, but its not cheating to me, just improving my odds, lol. I will say, it is all in how you eat and the change in routine was nice, but you dont need this routine, most can come up w/ their own that works just as well or better. Anabolic kitchen and hard cardio will do the trick... commitment is everything. To sum it up, perform a cardio/lifting rountine 7 times a week w/ anabolic kitchen at your disposal and you will get the fat loss you want. I will be putting up a youtube video with my progess so everyone can see. But know one mention the anavar on youtube, lol

Has any tried the p90x workout while on cycle? How were the results?

My girlfriend did it right after having a baby and lost 13lbs in 90 days. This is with her hormones being all goofy. She didn't like the progress she was getting and quit and got back on the treadmill and saw zero results. I would say considering a woman's hormones after birth, she did exceptional. She has started it again and in a week dropped another 5lbs. I also think she added some muscle which could due to the lack of "weight" loss. I think she looked quite a bit better. She only breast fed for 2 weeks. Hopefully it helps. I think the program is good for replacing cardio but not weight training depending on your goals.

The guy that I borrowed it from was a friend. He bought it for himself, but never even opened it. However, his wife decided she would start it and by the time I got it she had done the program twice. Her body is one of the best I've seen, however it still didnt do anything to make her face look better, but w/ her body I guess that can be over looked.

no good for bb'ing. just ok for indurence. total waste on cycle. any one with some size would lose it doing this.

Pure hype. the promoters must have been in cahoots with each other. Most of the guys in that movie were wearing silcone "muscle suits." They all were wearing "ab makeup." And yeah, I'm sure some were just buffed guys on gear.

I never heard of p90 but nothing is new under the sun. Everything works. But personally, I do ZERO cardio. Never did, even pre contest. Biggest waste of time and energy for the bodybuilder.

I said this in my post above, but I did this running anavar and lost 9%BF and gain 7 soild pounds. So I wouldnt call it a waste by any means, but it is not for gaining its for cutting up. I went as heavy as I could while using the weights w/ the programs. I think I did both very well.

I am not pushing this, as I stated this was just something I tried for a new routine.

Not sure where you got your information on the actors and extras in the movie 300, but you are absolutely incorrect.

I am personal friends with two of the trainers that worked day and night, side by side with these guys. There was no "muscle suits", "ab make-up", nor were any of the actors/extras on gear.

Under Gym Jones - Opinion:

"It appears everyone has an opinion about “300” and how the actors and stunt crew achieved the level of fitness – and consequentially, appearance – for the movie. I have read that it was all CGI, make-up, steroids, etc. However, no one has come right out and said, “those guys worked really hard and had the self-discipline to control what they put into their mouths.” Which is what I suggest: have the self-discipline to control what comes out of your mouth, especially if you are ignorant about the topic being discussed."

Validate YOURS. First of all, it's downright silly to say no one was on gear. How can you possibly know that? I've done some acting and know some of the tricks. Mike Myers did a bit recently where he wore a muscle suit. It was hilarious. It looked real! And it's so obvious the guys had their abs shaded with make up. I know you'd like to think you're a brilliant motivator and maybe you're a good trainer but you're wrong on this one.
