P.O. Box Advise

Doing a search did not yield much help! So I decided to start a thread. I work in a different state then I live, I am about to place an order and I need to open a P.O. Box but I can not do it in my state because I'm never around during post office hours.

Was thinking about opening one in the state I work because there is one just down the road. I know you need ID when doing so, but thought it might look a little suspicious especially after getting a package addressed to different name! Shortly after opening Box.


Thoughts from anyone who has had to do the same thing?

Most p.o box places will give you the option of buying a seperate key so you will be able to open the door of the establishment nad be able to axcess your p.o. at whatever time it is. Why don't you see if your place will do that. You might have to get a bigger P.O. though because most stuff won't fit in the small ones/ This is just a suggestion I know it doesn't exactly ansewer your ?

Sorry my problem is that I can't get to the post office during business hours to open a box now that I work in another state. .

If its domestic mail then have shipped in your own name. THERE IS NO RISK! Unless the shits falling out of the pkg. They should also leave a key for you if you recieve a pkg so you can get to it at any time of night.

Look for a Mailboxes Etc. They hold packages and they'll give you a key to enter after hours. You can also authorize others to pick up mail fo ryou.
