Hey guys just chiming back in. I'm nearing the end of my 4th day of an 40mg a day oxandrolone cycle. It's too early to tell if much is happening but I'm hoping within the next week I can actually report some specific improvements. The first 2 days of my cycle were workout days, then I've had the last 2 days off so tomorrow I'm working again and I'm anxious to see if I'll made any strength gains. I can say that the combo of ephedrine and oxandrolone is really taking a bite out of my appetite. I haven't been on ECA for a month and when I go back on after a lay off it usually effects my appetite for the first week then fades away. I think the oxandrolone is making more of a difference though as I feel less hungry than when using ECA alone.
Here's a strange thing though. I've been experimenting with different diets for about 18 months now and have a very good handle on my body. I can predict how much water I will lose the first week on a diet and had predicted what would happen when I started this one. I usually lose a good 4-5 pounds within the first week, especially after not dieting for a month. My body and muscles are full of water and I always lose some right out of the gates. The morning I started the cycle I weighed myself, naked and after my morning piss as usual. I clocked in at 206. Well this morning I step on the scale, same situation, and I'm at 209?! Calorie wise my diet is spot on. I am at a 400-500 calorie deficit, not even counting my workout energy expendature. I have never kept, or especially gained weight after 3-4 days of dieting. My carb intake is moderate but much lower than it had been all last month so I don't see how I couldn't have lost some water.
The only things different this time than my usual diet are:
1. Much higher protein intake than usual (325g right now).
2. More whey and skim milk than usual
3. I started using honey in post workout shake.
4. oxandrolone(obviously)
I highly doubt it's an allergic reaction to honey causing me to retain water. Especially since I only had 2 tbsp for 2 days. And those were the first 2 days and I'd assume the reaction would have subsided by now. As far as I know I'm not lactose intolerent because I've dieted before with a good 1-2 cups of skim milk daily and lost fat and plenty of water with no bloating. However since I upped my protein intake I've gotten more whey and milk than usual. I'm getting about 6 scoops of whey a day now which is about 130g of protein, along with a cup of milk for each 2 scoops. Perhaps the extra milk and protein is causing me to bloat? I've never experienced this before, although I've never gotten 325g of protein on a daily basis.
Oxandrolone isn't supposed to cause water retention so I doubt it's that. And no they aren't D-bol, the pills match the description
At any rate I'd appreciate any feedback on what may have caused the weight gain. Obviously I'd love to believe that it's muscle, but 3 lbs in only 4 days on oxandrolone is stretching it a bit. I'm not worried about it, I'll give it till the end of the week and if I don't notice a change I'll switch something up. Maybe drop milk from my diet or drop my protein down a bit in general and only get whey powder in a couple of my meals.
