Oxandrolone cycle update (Day 4)

Hey guys just chiming back in. I'm nearing the end of my 4th day of an 40mg a day oxandrolone cycle. It's too early to tell if much is happening but I'm hoping within the next week I can actually report some specific improvements. The first 2 days of my cycle were workout days, then I've had the last 2 days off so tomorrow I'm working again and I'm anxious to see if I'll made any strength gains. I can say that the combo of ephedrine and oxandrolone is really taking a bite out of my appetite. I haven't been on ECA for a month and when I go back on after a lay off it usually effects my appetite for the first week then fades away. I think the oxandrolone is making more of a difference though as I feel less hungry than when using ECA alone.

Here's a strange thing though. I've been experimenting with different diets for about 18 months now and have a very good handle on my body. I can predict how much water I will lose the first week on a diet and had predicted what would happen when I started this one. I usually lose a good 4-5 pounds within the first week, especially after not dieting for a month. My body and muscles are full of water and I always lose some right out of the gates. The morning I started the cycle I weighed myself, naked and after my morning piss as usual. I clocked in at 206. Well this morning I step on the scale, same situation, and I'm at 209?! Calorie wise my diet is spot on. I am at a 400-500 calorie deficit, not even counting my workout energy expendature. I have never kept, or especially gained weight after 3-4 days of dieting. My carb intake is moderate but much lower than it had been all last month so I don't see how I couldn't have lost some water.

The only things different this time than my usual diet are:

1. Much higher protein intake than usual (325g right now).
2. More whey and skim milk than usual
3. I started using honey in post workout shake.
4. oxandrolone(obviously)

I highly doubt it's an allergic reaction to honey causing me to retain water. Especially since I only had 2 tbsp for 2 days. And those were the first 2 days and I'd assume the reaction would have subsided by now. As far as I know I'm not lactose intolerent because I've dieted before with a good 1-2 cups of skim milk daily and lost fat and plenty of water with no bloating. However since I upped my protein intake I've gotten more whey and milk than usual. I'm getting about 6 scoops of whey a day now which is about 130g of protein, along with a cup of milk for each 2 scoops. Perhaps the extra milk and protein is causing me to bloat? I've never experienced this before, although I've never gotten 325g of protein on a daily basis.

Oxandrolone isn't supposed to cause water retention so I doubt it's that. And no they aren't D-bol, the pills match the description :) At any rate I'd appreciate any feedback on what may have caused the weight gain. Obviously I'd love to believe that it's muscle, but 3 lbs in only 4 days on oxandrolone is stretching it a bit. I'm not worried about it, I'll give it till the end of the week and if I don't notice a change I'll switch something up. Maybe drop milk from my diet or drop my protein down a bit in general and only get whey powder in a couple of my meals.

Let me get this right, you're bitching because you gained weight on a cycle????? Is this a joke?

BE HAPPY!!!!!

If you are dieting, on and ECA, and taking Ox and making GREAT gains for the first 4 days, you've got the best genetics on this board by a long shot (well one of the best, there are some awesome bro's on here).

Keep up the great work, and cont. the updates!

I'm not complaining that I gained weight, I'm just baffled as to why. As I said 3 lbs in 4 days of an oxandrolone only cycle while at a caloric deficit just seems strange. There is no way that is just muscle, as much as I'd really love to believe it.

I know oxandrolone is known for making creatine more effective. I haven't started my creatine yet but maybe oxandrolone tends to shuttle more glycogen in muscles in general, which would obviously make it better at loading creatine. So perhaps it is mostly water gain, but in a good way, as it is in my muscles. I honestly can't visibly tell if I'm bloated around the midsection, and for some reason my arms and legs seem to show just a tad more definition. Perhaps my stomach just feels full all the time because protein takes a long time to ingest, and because I eat 7 meals a day with 45g at each meal it never gets a chance to empty until I sleep.

I DID take circumfrence measurements before I started, and not only have my arms not shrunken in 4 days of dieting, but they actually are a tad bigger. Not much but enough to notice on the tape measure. Had I been bulking I'd have thought nothing of it because the sheer calories would cause minor bloat and/or a little extra glycogen loading. However I've been in a caloric deficit for 4 days with moderate carb intake and usually that flattens me out a bit until carbup day.

I will carbup next Sunday, so Monday morning will tell the real story. If my arms have gotten bigger than they were when I started then I'll know something is going on. I'll also be starting creatine next Monday so we'll see how that factors in. I'm glad I didn't do creatine from the start or else I'd have just assumed my weight gain was from it.
